Reviews of Country Club Village
"Pros: Relatively affordable rent for the area Big Rooms Great location (nearby downtown & Parks) Quiet neighborhood safe neighborhood Fast internet (fios) You can move in fast, from application to move in maybe two weeks Cons: Management is rude Maintenance may enter your unit at any time. If you don't grant them permission, they don't repair Maintenance will not schedule/ specifically notify you of entrance Air conditioners are throttled by the association (very strong suspicion), over span of 3 years second floor unit: 85+ degrees while the sun is out with AC running 24/7 Air conditioners are too small for the units, do not always work Energy bills for these reasons, 300$+/mo to run AC in summer for 900sqft unit (and still very uncomfortable 80% of the time) Rent prices have risen as much as 10% from one year to next, with no quality of life upgrades Pets are not allowed (if you have a washer dryer unit) Some units are outdated Units are repainted between tenants carelessly. Bugs, holes, dust, dirt, door hinges, literally everything just gets covered in paint.(not a big deal, really, but is reflective of general attitude) To commit to less than 12 months lease, half a months rent is due at signing as a fee (not a deposit). poof, $1,000 personal check Parking lots are not guaranteed to be snow plowed (3ft of snow frozen over for weeks one year) Parking lots will probably not be plowed in time to leave for work Overall: a lot of good memories can be made here, and units tend to be available in a pinch at a decent price in good timing. You, however, will be treated like a Feudal Middle Age serf"
"Absolutely love this community! It is quiet and peaceful and diverse. Not so happy with the laundry room leaks and constant "this machine works, but this doesn't" from week-to-week, but they seem to always be working on it. Love that the landscapers are around more often since our new Property Manager took over. One big request!!!!!!! So many of us have deliveries made and it's so difficult to find our apartments. Can there be signs made that stand out moderately, with apartment numbers at the parking lot entrances to help us get our food and groceries without having to run out and wave them down? In addition, there's a large piece of land around the leasing office, is there anything that can be done to use it efficiently? Maybe a small gym and a recreation room that can be rented out by the members for parties and family holidays that they want to host, but cannot because we don't have enough room in the apartments? My sister had that is her development in Bridgewater."
"So we’ve lived here for about 1.5 years now and overall everything is pretty good. The area is safe and quiet. The only thing is the laundry here is TERRIBLE. It didn’t used to be so bad but to start there is no in unit laundry so each building has a laundry room attached to it. Each room is supposed to have 4 washers and dryers for the buildings residents to share. Consistently for the past several months at least 2/4 washing machines and sometimes dryers will be broken. The laundry machines are handled by a third party vendor so you have to call them to fix it but they take forever and then the machines break again in a week. It’s not just an issue in our building (15) across all the buildings the laundry machines break all the time. If you move here might want to bet on going to a laundry mat. Edit: We moved out now but they replaced the laundry a while ago. Since then things were good. They were having trouble getting the new machines due to Covid. I wish they were better about communicating with us about the issue. Overall though living at Country Club was enjoyable with not that many issues."
"Nice neighborhood, however a few neighbors have been complaining about Rodents making a home in the attic. The maintenance guys have been very attentive, just not sure how successful the exterminators have been. It’s disturbing knowing that these creatures have made your home theirs too."
