"I called this home since July of 2001. Sure everything has its up and downs. But some things may have changed. To me the staff is nice maintaince is good. I just got off the phone with the president at Clifton. They are nice people. But I will really miss this place because I will have to change. I got much older than when I got here I will be 58 and I need a 55 plus. To have lived here this long so well speaks for itself of here. I have been able to take everything with a grain of salt because there have been a lot of changes here But since I have to move I forgot a lesson my parents taught me that will need to change yourself. If anyone would like to live here I would give it a chance or maybe it my be an opportunity. This has just been my experience. Thank you for letting me share."
"Place is really nice and seems to be a really safe neighborhood. Pros: Nice quiet neighborhood. A lot of street parking by E apartments Friendly Neighbors Cons: We live upstairs and can't turn up the TV because they can hear everything downstairs. Can't see the apartment before signing lease Highly recommend these apartments."
"I contacted this location to inquire about a rental for my mother. I was sent an email with videos of apartments that I reviewed. I responded by calling and stating that I was interested and would like to come see the apartment. I was then lectured by Jennifer about reviewing my emails, which I had already done and viewed the videos. During that conversation, I was questioned about my situation and treated like I did not know what I was talking about. I was then told I would be put on a waitlist. A few weeks later, I was contacted. Jennifer wanted me to rent an apartment, sight unseen. When I questioned that, she was once again abrupt and stated that because the apartment was occupied, I would not be able to see it. She then referred to the videos of “the model apartments” once again, insinuating that I forgot or had not looked at them. I don’t think it is unreasonable to request to see the property, but I was certainly treated like it was. Not the type of interaction that I would say was ideal, when looking for a place for my elderly mother to live. I’ll be looking elsewhere."
"...........FORGET YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT........... We stayed in one of the apartment complexes managed by Value Realty Inc (at Gateways at Randolph since 2012 and vacated at end of June 2019). Both Saddle Brook Apartments and Gateways at Randolph are managed by the same Value Realty Inc. We agree with many other tenant google reviews at Gateways at Randolph saying, they cheat to use your total security deposit to renovate the unit once you leave. Our unit was renovated 4-5 years before we moved in, but they still charged us 100 $ more rent per month than other units. Now that we vacated, they only refunded 50 $ out of 2235 $ of our total security deposit. Following are their unreasonable charges: Paint 2 nd Coat 618 $ Replace Carpet 312 $ Closet door damaged 100 $ Counter tops damaged 400 $ Cleaning charges 135 $ Medicine Cabinet damaged 100 $ Bathroom basin damaged 70 $ Kitchen floor damaged 262 $ Microwave damaged 189 $ Total : 2185 $, refunded 50 $. We stayed for a total of 88 months, paid 100 $ premium on top of their regular rent. So we paid 8800 $ extra, which was not enough to cover our usage with normal wear and tear. Carpet was few years old when we moved in, then we stayed 7 yrs, still got charged for it, which clearly shows their ulterior motives. We placed numerous requests for maintenance until we moved out on a regular basis to take care of the unit, so if these many were damaged, why they didn’t replace them during our stay ?. This is a very greedy and unethical management, who will use your security deposit to renovate the unit, then rent it to another unsuspecting tenant for much higher rent. Looks like they think by renovating, they can charge maximum amount for everything. We spoke with many other previous tenants, they also shared similar unreasonable charges. If our money is not refunded soon, we will be going for NJ small claims court for the refund and to mainly prove their unethical practices. These people cannot continue to cheat their tenants and be still in business. I felt it as my responsibility to post it for others to see. Hoping that this review will help all to take informed decision before they move in/out."
"Living here almost for one year. Clean Complex, except the laundry room, because some tenants uses it, they dont clean up after themselves. Besides that.. It’s not loud, Neighbors are nice & respectful. Also, I do give a lot of credit to the Management!"
