"Years of severe medical issues that im still having because of false diagnosis and wrong meds. Confirmed by multiple specialists, and gps. Now seeing a doctor regularly because of this place n if u need records to discharge good luck on that"
"This place is a joke. My daughter med dr Karen was accusing her of manifesting things she's been dealing with since she was a teenager. made her feel like she didn't know what was going on with herself. She was closed after 2 months of waiting for a replacement dr. One that might actually listen to her. Shame on you for pretending to care about the people in this community with mental heath problems or any problems in general when the patients are treated with such disrespect. To get an apt is insane, a lot of waiting, mean while people have to try to go on with life on the wrong meds if on any meds at all. For me that place has been a joke long before Acenda took over now its just worse."
"God awful experience. It began with my intake (which I had to wait 3 months for), when the woman who saw me told me she’d be my therapist for my future visits-this was not the case. They placed me with a woman who made me feel uncomfortable sharing my thoughts, and when I requested a new therapist, they scheduled me with the same woman! Scheduling is a mess- you need to call over a month ahead in order to get an appointment within the window given by your doctor. They do not care about patient needs and are entirely unempathetic when it comes to any difficulties you may experience. I needed to reschedule an appointment because I was sick and they scheduled me for 6 weeks later.. This wouldn’t have been too much of an issue, but I ran out of my daily medication and they refuse to refill my prescription until I come in for my appointment. That’s more than a full month of being completely cut off from a medication that my body has grown accustomed to. This is not how patients should be treated- especially mental health patients."
"I went to intake in the middle of October. I was given a therapy appointment for 11/01 but they couldn't get me in for a psychiatric evaluation with a doctor until 12/22, leaving me without medication until then. The November therapy appointment went great but they didn't have another appointment available (therapist recommended two weeks) for over a month. I scheduled it for 12/06 and asked if the next time getting an appointment two weeks out would be easier. She laughed and said "I hope so." I got a call today, 11/29, about my therapy appointment on 12/06. Literally a week away, and I've already waited nearly a month for it. The therapist tells me she is no longer doing therapy and will put in a transfer for another therapist. She said she does not know how long that will take but I should get a call to schedule an appointment within the next week or two. For an appointment I can only assume will be MONTHS away. Meanwhile, the mental health of patients going through this scheduling nightmare will suffer. Update: It's now February and I've seen the new therapist one time. They have handled the scheduling slightly better than they did previously. The reason I remain at Cape Counseling is because while their scheduling is a nightmare and their office staff can't do anything about it, their counselors are spectacular."
"They schedule more than a month and a half in advance, and require you to call into a message line to confirm your appointment. When I confirmed my appointment (well within the window required, on the message line required), I arrived and was told that it had been cancelled because I "didn't confirm". They were not at all empathetic about my having done so or my need to stay on daily medications, and scheduled me for a month after my medications ran out. Additionally, if your doctor calls out sick, you are forced to wait at least three weeks for another appointment. Overall, they are overscheduled and under-empathetic. They have showed more than once that they do not care at all for patient health."
