"I have lived in the phase one building off of Morris Ave. since 2020. Pros: (1) The location is convenient and neighbors are relatively respectful. (2) The building is clean, for the most part with the exception of items spilled in the elevators or in the hallways. (3) Management is responsive when you have a major issue. My package was stolen from the package room, and without delay or hesitation, the cameras were checked and the person who took the package was identified. My items were returned to me. (4) Carlos is the best! He is understanding, patient and communicates very well regarding the status of your issue and his response to it. (5) Attempts made by management to have "events" for residents each month. (6) The local businesses in the area are great. Amazing food and many "surprise" finds within walking distance. Cons: (1) The constant construction! Had I known the entire area would have been under construction Monday-Saturday from 7 am-7pm all year round, I probably would have moved elsewhere. It's noisy and there are frequent inconveniences with regard to parking. (2) Rent increases. Last year, for my lease renewal, Centurion decided that my rent was too far below market rate (it was around $1,980 with water), and decided to increase it by approximately $200/mo., which blindsided me. This is during a time when everyone is feeling the crunch of how expensive everything is now. I suspect this is the reason why there are constantly people moving out and/or being evicted. (3) Amenities. The "amenities" aren't that great to justify the rent prices, and in my building, the space for each amenity is quite small. There are also no outdoor areas for residents to enjoy in my building, unless you'd like to cross Stuyvesant Ave. to visit the rooftop or sit in the dog park that smells horrific because the astroturf is never hosed down or cleaned in any way. (4) Constant loss of areas to walk pets. What attracted me to this building were the amount of green spaces. Since construction has started, there are very limited areas where dogs can easily relieve themselves. The latest construction on Bonnel Ct. just eliminated the sidewalk. Other neighbors and dog owners in the area have been complaining about this as well. It's clear that Bonnel Ct. will soon be asphalt, concrete and pavers with just a few trees mixed in, which is unfortunate. (5) Some new neighbors have been leaving their trash bags and recycling outside of their apartment door in the hallway. I sent pictures to management, and never heard back."
"I've been a resident at Centurion Union Center for 2 years, and it has been a great experience. The staff, including Jade at the front desk, Carlos and the maintenance team, as well as Andrew and Dan are incredibly accommodating and always pleasant to work with. They are quick in addressing any questions or concerns which is greatly appreciated. The upkeep of the building is impressive. It is clean and well-maintained, which speaks to management's commitment to quality living conditions. Centurion also hosts occasional gatherings in the lobby, which adds a nice touch to the overall living experience. I highly recommend Centurion Union Center to anyone looking for a residence that combines professionalism with a warm community atmosphere. So much so that my mother in law is moving here with the help of Patricia who has been amazing to work with."
"Been here for 3 + years now and still going! Great community, amenities and service. Responsive management and continuously improving the comfort and living conditions."
"Amazing facilities, top notch customer service, and overall beautiful. You can even see Manhattan from the roof-top. Overall if you're looking for an up-scale place to rent with easy connections to the city and airport, I would definitely recommend Centurion."
"I moved my mom who's a senior citizen and retiree to Centurion a year and a half ago and she loves it there. The great quality about centurion is the amenities, cleanliness the roof top and the various building events throughout the year, which brings the tenants together as a community. Also, the location is very convenient to a lot of great stores, such as Stop n Shop, Norma's flower shop and good eateries, such as Cioffi's my moms' favorite restaurant. Lastly, the building manager, superintendent and the concierge staff Medge are extremely professional friendly and courteous. They always take care of things quick and efficiently."
