"I was attracted to this complex by the wide lawns, mature trees and bushes and the generally well kept appearance. The management team of Noreen & Ed and Carlos was always available, friendly and willing to help. I was lucky to have three lovely neighbors who I consider friends. Always plenty of heat, leaves and snow taken care of quickly and efficiently and never saw a bug. Had to move to California or I would still be there."
"The good: 1. Noreen is great! She is really considerate and is willing to assist when needed. 2. Maintenance will help minor problems asap The bad: 1. The heat works great during the summer and doesn’t work all the time during the winter. 2. Pray that you’re either on the second floor or your neighbors above you does not have kids they can’t control. Leasing office will not get involved nor do anything about noise complaints, they will tell you to take care of it yourself (which is not safe for the residents). 3. When you move out, maintenance and the leasing office will do everything they can to make sure you don’t get your entire security deposit back. They will nitpick on things(even if they’re the ones who caused the damage). 4. Parking can be a hassle if you and your spouse(or roommate) have an extra car."
"Been living here a little over a year and we love it. Quiet area, close to everything. Apartments are spacious & decent quality. Management is wonderful. If there is ever an issue they respond SO quickly and fix any issue almost immediately. I’ve been telling anyone I know who is looking for an apartment to consider this complex because we truly couldn’t be happier here"
"I love my apartment, second floor nightly view of the sunset. Very clean great maintenance, recycle and trash area kept very clean and organized by the hArdest young man I’ve seen. Wonderful manager who is so patient and kind. Everyone in complex is very nice hard working and accommodating. I do hear voices occasionally and doors opening and closing but I’m not sensitive to noise so it doesn’t bother me."
"ABSOLUTLY TERRIBLE. Floors, doors and walls are paper thin so you have no privacy. Management will NOT get involved in issues with other tenants. Make you feel like you are hassling them. Parking is sparse. No street parking allowed. Kitchens have fans in walls that slam/echo thru the apt on windy days. Fire alarm goes off whenever you cook. I had to remove the battery whenever I used the stove or oven. I had a cracked kitchen window that was never replaced and two of my windows were missing locks. Tub was cracking. Spare bedroom heat barely worked. If you live on the 1st fl, you will hear garages being slammed. Front doors are cheap and unsafe. I spoke with the leasing manager a few times before moving in and she was always very pleasant and warm. She stressed how wonderful my new apartment was going to be. Moving day, when I signed my lease. She made sure I saw the no pet clause and was asked to initial. After signing, I was told that my upstairs neighbor had small children. I was surprised I wasn’t told this before moving day but as a parent myself, I didn’t think it would be a huge deal. I move in and that’s when the nightmare began. It started with hearing EVERY. SINGLE. sound. I could hear nonstop running until almost midnight. I explained to the manager and told her I wasn’t able to go to sleep until almost midnight. This is when she told me that the upstairs tenant had 3 CATS that was what I was hearing. A fact she failed to mention upon me moving in. She then told me to wear earplugs. Management did not work with me. I spoke to the general manager who said that buildings were constructed in the 50’s so it is what it is. As said by a staff member, these apartments are “echo boxes”. Finally, I told them I couldn’t live like this. It was impacting my quality of life. We were barely sleeping. We couldn’t nap bc front doors were being slammed, you could hear everything and the running cats. I told them I wanted to break my lease and wanted my deposit back. They refused to return my deposit until I threatened legal action. I moved out 6 months after moving in. Staff made me feel as if MY family was the issue, not the fact that they let tenants have pets regardless of the lease or that the buildings were poorly constructed. They never asked the upstairs tenant to get rid of the cats or offer solutions to reduce noise. I do not recommend but if you have no choice, go for a 2nd fl and hope that your neighbor doesn’t mind the sounds of your everyday life."
