"Driver Tyrell in truck 1162 could learn some patience out here to his fellow driver, I sure hope the rest of your drivers are more thoughtful and represent your company."
"This company is SAP friendly. I have worked here since January 12 of 2023. I would compare my pay to just about any other carrier out there. I make great money. Communication could definitely be better as they are a small company that occasionally still have the Mom And pop mindset While trying to build a larger operation but that’s just part of growing pains as a company trying to expand that started very small. We don’t have terribly long runs. I do a lot of 550 mile or so runs, but if you are consistent and you do what you’re supposed to do as a driver it’s very easy to make $2000 plus a week. I have pretty consistently since after the first 30 or so days I was here. Home time is generous, equipment is top-notch, trucks are governed at 70 mph staff is friendly and pretty open to working with you. In exchange, they asked that you pick up and deliver on time and you make efficient use of your hours of service. The expectation isn’t very high here in order to make a lot of money. It’s been a great experience and if you have tanker experience and at least three years, I recommend it. You can reach out to me on Facebook and I’ll give you all the details and I’ll show you my Paychex ."
"If you're reading reviews then you're like me and doing you're homework before you commit to a company. So I'll help you out a bit more than I was helped by these reviews. The majority are true.Staff was great Very friendly. The trucks I saw in Vineland were all brand new or 2 years old. 1 hr long road test. No biggie. Stacks of paperwork. Mostly the usual stuff except the one that sent me home..... Escrow account. Of course it's not written like that but that's what it is. They take $50 a week out of your pay till you reach $1000 then if anything happens they deduct the $ from that account as they see fit. Yes, as a company driver you must pay them to drive their truck. Sign on bonus is $5,000. Your first part is $375 on your 1 st check. Then 90 days another $375 etc. Orientation pay is $200 for the 2 days. If you have a service pet or ESA they still charge $500 that they take out of your check @ $100 increments from the start. Hope this helps someone else. I rented a car from Georgia to NJ but obviously that's not getting reimbursement. Had I been aware of this escrow account I wouldn't have wasted anyone's time and just moved along. Yet...here I am. Out $700 for food, fuel & car all for nothing. Imagine going to work somewhere and owing them $1500 before your 1st day of actually working"
"Stay away from this place. They preach the importance of communication but will not answer a phone or return your phone call. Have no idea about food grade tankwashes and how a food grade tanker company should work. This place is a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!"
"I’ve been a professional driver for almost 16 years. I worked here for a year and had to leave for personal reasons and nothing to do with the company. It was a great place and I was sad to leave. The bad reviews seem to be from drivers who lasted less than a month and maybe had a delay early on and never really gave the company a chance. There is no way you could have an accurate opinion of a company having worked with it for less than a month. I had amazing dispatchers (Joe and Denise). I averaged well over 3000 miles per week (sometimes getting more than 4000). They don’t micromanage their drivers if you don’t give them a reason to. They expect that you are a professional driver and already know how to operate from the start. They aren’t sending trainers out with you to teach you how to drive, you should already know how to. If you’re hungry for miles and show that you will run them you'll get dispatched. If you’re lazy and sit on loads you’ll be lower priority. They have brand new (automatic) tractors and have just dropped a lot of new trailers into circulation. There were some headaches that you are going to get with any company like waiting for loads or trailers, even waiting to get a tank washed. It is truly majority drop and hook (I think I had 12 live offloads my whole time there). When it is a live offload the driver doesn’t touch anything. We don’t even carry hoses on the trucks/ trailers and it takes1-3 hours total. Safety is a part of the management culture and the safety director is great. If you as a driver don’t feel safe driving in certain conditions or performing unfamiliar tasks and you refuse, the company will stand by you even if it means the load is delayed. They won’t try to coerce you or belittle you for it. You get 65 CPM for ALL miles and FREE vision and dental for the whole family, not just the employee. I was also able to keep running steady high miles throughout the egg shortage. The trucks are governed at 70 on the pedal and the cruise (you can get your speed dropped down temporarily if you get pulled for speeding). They are extremely flexible on home time as long as the driver is too. There isn’t another company out there that comes close to what TRD offers."
