"They're convenient as you head onto the island but often that comes at a price. In this case, it's higher prices and somewhat obstinate people with a take it or leave it attitude. Was looking for something obscure, the type of thing that you only find in the 'old stuff we've never sold' box (they all have one) at a tackle shop. Found some and offered to make a deal to clean them out of that item as they were overpriced despite having been unsold for a decade or two. Guy wouldn't do anything on buying more than 10 of an item they haven't sold one of. No big deal, they'll be in that box and I'll just buy what I need over years as I need them cause they're not going anywhere. Fortunately one of the teenagers working there was a better businessman and made a deal with me while the other guy had walked away. One other value in deciding between shops is reports. Accurate reports make a big difference and the shop's that tell you what they want to, to push you to buy something they want to sell is a big negative. Unfortunately I've gotten such reports here. I've had a good career within the industry and have a good network and it's often opposite of what I hear from these guys- and proven by catches"

"A natural wonder of the area and only place to go for your supplies. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. You can talk to them and relate. A great selection of all your needs for salt and fresh water too. The best store can't be beat."
