"The doctors at RUMC psychiatric center were the most incompetent and arrogant I've ever encountered in a medical setting. I was told there were tremendous improvements over night in a patient which ended up being completely false and blatantly ridiculous. The patient subsequently came home at their approval and discharge and as expected, become increasingly more violent and psychotic. Not only were they unhelpful and blatantly rude to me, they displayed this behavior and arrogance to a fellow doctor and psychiatrist who tried to speak with them and advocate on the patient's behalf."

"If you run out of your medicine the staff needs three days in advance notice. They now need a week notice so heads up!! Alison is one of the therapists there and she goes far and beyond for her patients. It only sucks to establish a relationship with a doctor especially when the doctors change as frequently as they do. But overall Rumcy offers a lot of good programs for mental health and addiction. If there is a wait definitely worth the wait."

"Last year I had a horrible life experience which lead me to this clinic! The person I got for a therapist was very patient, understanding, helped me through a very bad time! I will always be grateful for his help & understanding! He went out of his way to help me out ! Then he got sick & left the job & I just lost all encouragement or confidence to visit a new therapist! And after months I m still not happy! I just wanna stop the therapy for good but I know I need this very much . Because I have no one to talk to! Then my shrink who I was seeing once a month, she left too! So now I have to see a new shrink & I m already hating the idea. Maybe I will end up changing this place all together! Because I feel like I m not geting the help I used to get no more! I m just always so lost now a days ..! Front desk is ok most of the time."

"I had a negative experience here from start to finish. The social worker who did my onboarding was so condescending and disrespectful that I didn’t want to be treated there. I had no other options due to my insurance at the time. When I finally got a therapist it was someone who acted like it was the first time we were speaking every single time. She didn’t listen to a word I said. Everyone I ever spoke to on the phone at this clinic was rude. Every in person appointment that I had was cancelled at least 3 times. I was a patient for several months and I was never able to get a meeting with a psychiatrist as it was cancelled every time until I got a voicemail one day saying I was missing an appointment that I never confirmed or heard anything about (I would’ve said no because I was working). The only people I ever spoke to here who tried to be helpful was one manager who I was only able to get through to one time in several months and the nurse practitioners that I dealt with while I was waiting for a psychiatrist. I actively sought out a new job so I could get new insurance and stop coming here. When I did, I started to get bills that increased every month. As of now they’re saying that I owe almost $800 when I received little to note help from the clinic. I was only able to get medications prescribed through a nurse practitioner while I waited for a psychiatrist after I complained to management about the several cancelled appointments. Until then I was told to “just go to the hospital. I can only imagine the bills I would be receiving if I followed their advice. I tried so hard to make this work because I needed help and I had no other option but being a patient here only added additional stress and anxiety at a time when I was desperately reaching out for help."

"I’m withdrawing my treatment here and will be getting a new psychiatrist somewhere else. The individuals at the front desk are rude and act like you are bothering them when calling for an appointment. I’ve had 3 doctors here (all residents). All three have been awful. They never call me on time when we have our appointments. One doctor left the residency without having our last appointment. How do you leave your residency and not call all your patients? Where is their supervisor?? They always forget to put in my scripts and don’t call me back until I have to call the front desk. Really really a shame. There’s no reason I should have to call my doctor 5 times on different days before they call me back."
