"I used to believe in supporting local, especially when it came to supporting my people who became successful. In the beginning, it was good to come here. I wasn’t a person who would go to the ER for simple matters, but to a PCP. Dr. Quinonez is a great doctor, if it is even possible to get to see him. There were several instances that I would receive a call about an upcoming appointment or reminder. If I missed the call by a millisecond and call back the very same moment where I was met with the machine to which I remember verbatim, “thank you for calling Elmora’s Family Practice. We are currently closed for lunch.” How? An entire office is closed for lunch? Is there no shift change? Or proper management with phone calls? Sometimes an hour later and I receive the same response. Next, when it came down to emergency visits, something that is not urgent for an ER or Urgent Care visit, but to see on short notice. It’s normally met with, “we are currently full, but you can call as soon as the office opens to see if you can fit an appointment.” Understandable, I can do that tomorrow. The time the office opens is at 9am. First call. 9am. No answer. Office is closed. 9:02am. Office is closed. 9:05am. Office is still closed. 9:08 am. I finally get answer about the appointment. “Ma’am you should’ve called at 9 am when the office just opened. We have no room to fit you in.” Th next and final straw that made me move out from this place and look for another PCP, was trying to cancel my appointment for months in advance because unfortunately I had no insurance during that time. After many attempts, my call was finally picked up 30 minutes before the actual appointment to cancel. I was still charged the $50 no-show fee. Sure, it’s paid for. It could’ve been disputed from the inconvenience, but this place has a bad taste in my mouth now and I no longer want anything to do with it. It’s a shame. I’m going to miss the Doc."
