"When I entered the Seville Studio, I was having subtle pains around hips and lower back; I was also suffering from right shoulder pain since a long time and a lot of tension in my neck. I had started to have difficulties performing simple tasks, like bending to put on socks and shoes, and even having some pain at night, which was a first for me. Purissa's approach to my situation was very 'layered', we talked first and foremost about why I was in the situation I was. My past emotional experience had put me through a lot of hurt, stress and strain; although I worked a lot on those things, still my body was carrying those traumatic experiences. It would show in a bad overall posture and breathing pattern, and neither of these were serving my well being. We worked on the connection between emotions and body, starting on breathing, releasing stress and tension, therapeutic exercises etc. Rissa used different techniques on me, like craniosacral therapy, visualizing and feeling my body and breathing, helping with alignment, tension in my jaw and neck/shoulder. Later on during treatments, we worked a lot on muscles use and straightening, through tools and/or pilates tables. Purissa has an incredibly radiant, positive energy; her voice and gentle touch made me experience my body differently. After 2 session, the load of tension and strain I had carried for so long, largely dissipated, and I felt a very different person, a new person. She really wants to teach her patients to learn how to sustain their well being in the long term. Also the atmosphere of her studio is very cozy and she has tons of props to help you feel comfortable, infact, more than once I relaxed to the point of almost falling asleep on the table. Manuela"
