"I was to undergo two surgeries at this facility. For the first surgery, I paid a $500 copay, but I was blindsided by an additional bill of over $300 afterward. There was no prior indication or information about these extra charges, which feels like a violation of the "New Jersey Health Care Transparency Act." Despite their commitment to inform me about reviewing the results of my initial procedure, I never received a call. Moreover, attempting to reschedule my second procedure was met with unresponsiveness despite leaving multiple voicemails. This lack of follow-up on their end was disappointing and unprofessional. The absence of clarity regarding charges covered by insurance prior to procedures was another issue, leading to a lack of transparency. Reflecting on this experience, I'm relieved that my second procedure didn't proceed as planned. Unfortunately, it seems like there might be a disparity in the treatment of patients, potentially influenced by minority status. Hence, I am considering seeking medical care outside the Newark area in pursuit of better care and quality."

"Went to take my mom in for an appointment twice, both time she was only called in at least an hour and a half AFTER her scheduled appointment time. The people at the desk were not transparent at all regarding the cost of each visit and we were only told the costs after the tests were completed. They charged us $50 for a 5 minute phone call to discuss test results for a test we had already paid thousands for. They told us in person beforehand we wouldn’t have to pay anything more and then later over the phone said it would be $50. We scheduled the phone appointment for 10:45am, we received a call at 10am which we couldn’t answer that was supposed to be to “check in” to a phone call appointment. We received zero notice about this over text or in person and as a result were forced to wait multiple hours for the doctor to call back. Really really terrible service at the front desk, would not recommend at all, please find another office if you can."
