"We have sent both our girls to St. James and love it! The teachers and staff are warm, caring, creative, and energetic. Our littlest is still at St. James and smiles heading off to school each morning. She frankly would rather be there some days vs. at home, which I think says a ton!"

"I just want to let you know yesterday around 12pm some kids were in your playground and a few boys started taunting and bullying my 3yr old boy as we walked past your playground. The teachers in the playground saw what was going on but did absolutely nothing and talked amongst themselves as these little boys were throwing dirt and calling my son names. We were walking past your bushes and he saw them and wanted to make freinds with them but the older boys 4of them about 6yrs old ) were so nasty and disrespectful to my son and I told them to be nice and they started taunting me also so we left. I’m utterly shocked that these boys are so disrespectful to people and your teachers do nothing. I was thinking of enrolling my son with your school but after seeing what goes on at your school and how your teachers do nothing about the discipline I’ve changed my mind but figured to let you know what I encountered. FYI the boys were also yelling and taunting other pedestrians and not once did a teacher walk up to them (I was there about 15minutes and waited to see if any adults/teachers would tell them something but was no one did). I am very disappointed. I live in Upper Montclair and this is my first time having a group of any kids act like such bullies with teachers just letting the behavior happen! I’m just still in shock at the level of nasty taunting these boys were doing with no one telling teaching them how to behave! Wow"

"What a warm, nurturing environment. Both my children go there and we could not be happier. The biggest thing that stands out to the whole school is the teachers and their commitment to the children. They come alongside you and your child and truly become part of your lives. This is a school that puts your child's need first. As a parent, I am so happy with the educational foundation they are getting, but more importantly I'm so happy they will be getting a foundation for the whole child."

"This place cares more about money than your child.. Teachers are good but management and that insane school board will make you wish you never enrolled your child here."
