"Everything previously written here is true but worse. If I could give it zero stars, I would. So many errors occurred with this place that I didn't even wait to get the exam. Do not be fooled by the only kind individual in the department, as it doesn't represent the rest of the office. I walked out after a few told me the techs weren't great either. Why is this acceptable? I genuinely feel bad for anyone who has cancer and goes here!"
"I have been going to this facility for years for my annual breast cancer screenings. This year, there was a snafu with my insurance carrier and confusion ensured about an outstanding balance owed. I told them I needed to contact my insurance carrier to sort out why there was an outstanding balance. Regardless, the other day, I received a letter from a collection agency asking me for the payment. Completely uncalled for since I had already contacted them and explained I needed to figure things out with my insurance. Considering I'm a long time patient and have NEVER once missed any payments with them when I went for my screenings, I am very disappointed they chose to treat me this way. When I called to try to rectify the situation, they said I couldn't pay over the phone or online because it was now with a debt collector. Like seriously? I won't be going back to them again for my screenings."
"Scheduling is great, front desk Mena is amazing...wait times and technicians aren't the greatest. There is always a minimum 1.5 hour wait after you check in. Be prepared to spend extra time there if you go. I had to leave and have to come back again for an ultrasound because I scheduled my appointment for a day and time before a workshift thinking I would be fine with timing. Definitely not ideal or fun, especially when you live 35 min away. I would've been there for another 2 hours if I stayed and waited. And now I could have sowething going on but I have to go back another day, but on top of this, I need ANOTHER script before I can go back. If I can't be late for my clients, why is it ok for this place to be late for their patients?! Absolutely ridiculous."
"Everyone at the St Barnabas Breast Center was absolutely wonderful. The scheduling department got my in quickly and from the moment I walked in the door and was greeted by Mena (who remembered me during both my follow-up appointments!) I felt comfortable. From the techs, to nurses and radiologists everyone I encountered had lovely bedside manner and made a very scary time that much more manageable. I can't recommend this center enough."
"One month ago I went for my annual mammogram at the Breast Center. I've been going there for years and have found the technicians to be excellent. Alisa McConnell was my technician and did everything in her power to make my experience a positive one. Had it not been for her, I probably would not go back there. Unfortunately, the clerical workers seem to have mixed up my info last year which caused me to wait an interminably long time and then never receive my results. After much thought, I returned this year and was assured this would not happen again. I ended up waiting a very long time again and being the only person in the waiting room and still not getting called. Apparently the clerical work was mixed up -- again! Women do not want to change where they have their mammograms and I travel for 90 minutes to go to the breast center. Two years in a row I had the same problem with being left in the waiting room and having my clerical info incorrect. I was also billed for this procedure since the clerical staff is so incompetent. I thought that after making it known as to what happened in 2015, my 2016 visit would have been much better. I am glad that there are excellent technicians there because the clerical staff is one of the most incompetent around."
