"It was 10 minutes before closing and I knew exactly what I wanted and I was moving at a very swift pace, however GRETA took it upon herself to tell me "HURRY UP! GET YOUR STUFF AND GET OUT!" For a moment I thought to myself that surely I wasn't the one she was talking to, that it must have been a co-worker.. but lo and behold I turned around and she was indeed talking to me and looking directly at me... When she realized she had my attention she proceeded with "YEAH, YOU.. WE'RE ON A TIME CRUNCH YOU GOTTA HURRY UP!" I was of course dumbfounded. I have worked in retail and sales for over 10 years and never would I even think of talking to a customer like that even 5 minutes before closing. The appropriate thing to do would have been to say "Hi let me know if you need help finding anything and just to let you know we close in 10 minutes" or whatnot. Very aggressive and surprising behavior from Greta... I will be not be returning and I will be passing this experience on."

"Normally I find Canal’s staff very polite and knowledgeable and prices are good. If my shopping there today was their norm, I’d rate them a “4”. Today was different. They had one register open. I picked up a small bottle of gin from the shelf right by the middle register. The cashier at the one open register was waiting on someone with a large order. The cashier literally shouted at me “Don’t go back there”. I literally have never been treated so rudely as a customer. Firstly, I was not “back there”, I stretched and picked up what I wanted because it was on the edge. Secondly, there is no sign employees only. When I mentioned to her there was no need to shout and “please” is indicated, she doubled down and continued to be rude. Perhaps she is new, or just ignorant, not sure. DO BETTER CANALS TRAINING YOUR STAFF! Seems you have a bad apple."
