Pecora Wines & Liquors 246 New Main Street, Yonkers, NY 10701

"Either my husband or I came to this Pecora Wine shop religiously. Unfortunately, they have become just as disappointing as the rest of the wine shops in Yonkers. Despite the attitude from the older Mexican woman that I always received. I still would send my husband there since he didn’t get any attitude from her. We would get multiple bottles of wine weekly. We are new parents and need a bit of a distress at night. The younger gentleman who works in the front, has a bit of a social disorder and mumbles underneath his breath. Despite that fact We still continued to give this place business. Apparently, even the owner was fond of my husband, but despite all that, My Husband recently went to buy our usual bottle of wine. The young man mumbled under his breath and said that he would have to charge him $11 because he pays with a card at times, which would make the wine two dollars more expensive than what is advertised and what we are used to paying. The young man then Then just walks off away from my husband. Never mentioning whether that was just the price increase for the wine in general or if that price increase was specific to my husband and I. I had suspected racism from this place as I’ve seen how they treat black and non-Mexican, Hispanic customers like us and now my suspicions are completely clear. Between the Mexican woman who I believe to be the mother and the young Mexican kid, who I believe to be the son, they have ruined Pecora wines. We will not be returning to this low-level establishment. And also will not be recommending this place either. It was nice it lasted. I guess. Seems like these people are allergic to money."

"I have visited this place twice. In my opinion, considering the space it has, it is fine to buy regulars wines and other liquors. But be aware that the customer services do not have much information to advices people on wines and liquors. I mean that you better know what to buy before you get there, otherwise they will not help you as you may need."

"Great liquore store in our town. Friendly customer service, great prices, and they open until late hours. The best part is that they have a great variety selection of wine and liquor. Love it there. Feels like a candy store when I go in there."
