"Pretty good liquor store near Journal Square. They have pretty much any of the normal beer or booze most people consume and a pretty good wine selection with a good mix of price points. The staff is always friendly and accommodating."

"The beer they sell in Boulevard liquors is warm not cold. I told the owner and his staff to raise the thermostat in the cooler, but they won't to save money*. They're supposed to give customers a paper bag, but won't. The owner asked me to pay 25 cents for a 2"x2" bag that any liquor store would give you for free. They turn off the air-conditioning in the store, so it's very hot as soon as you enter store. Sometimes, if you're lucky they'd give you a paper bag that's been sitting right over the desk where they have been (breathing on it) for hours. If you catch Covid 19, it's on you because the owner, manager, and every e else NEVER WEAR MASKS. Avoid this liquor store like the plague unless you like drinking warm beer. *Note: The owner has trained his employees to be REAL NASTY to customers, so if they (customers you out) its on you."

Wonderful staff, friendly, respect and protect their clients-- those that have grown up in Jersey City and know the Journey Square area understand what I mean. Harry, not only an employee there, but a friend there is one of the funniest, friendliest, professional people I know, he always has an anecdote, a joke and positive thing to say, especially if you had or are having a tough day.
