"My husband was a patient at Bayonne Medical Center recently. I have 42 yrs of healthcare experience in Quality/Risk Management and have coordinated and participated in numerous surveys by Joint Commission and the New York State Department of Health. Bayonne Medical Center is lacking in leadership management. There are so many areas that were sub-par it was scary. It’s a shame because aesthetically the hospital is decent but the Nursing staff is haphazard, lacks critical thinking skills and direction/ leadership. It’s a Joint Commission survey away from losing its accreditation if things don’t change."

"Staff was great. The doctor gave a thorough explanation of what I was experiencing. I was made comfortable right away and the doctor was very thorough. They were very busy but were working hard to tend to everyone’s needs."

"I would say that this is probably one of the WORST HOSPITALS in New Jersey. It is FILTHY, RUNDOWN, and DIRTY, but worse than that, the STAFF ARE UNPROFESSIONAL. They also try to bully everyone, including the patient and the patient's family. Have a complaint ? The staff will call security to walk you out of the building. Ask for the administrator? The staff will call security to walk you out of the building. They are too stupid to try to resolve any issues. They tried very hard to throw my relative out of his room even though he couldn't walk. They wouldn't even help him into a wheelchair. Security treats people like they have NO RIGHTS and the hospital management obviously condones the use of bully tactics. They should be pleased to know that a very large NJ personal injury law firm will be contacting them."

"I've been waiting for over 50 mins in the emergency room. I asked the staff how long the wait and she gave me the worst attitude and said "I don't know. It's been crazy. You need to wait." Emergency rooms should have a max 25 min wait limit for those truly in pain! No empathy for patients in pain what so ever. Hospital looks dirty and extremely outdated. NEVER AGAIN!"
