"My mom got a room here recently during the off season. I came down for the day to visit. The hotel itself is right on the ocean and a short drive to the boardwalk or Cape May so it is in a prime location. When walking into the hotel to get up to the room, I noticed a lot of people sitting outside smoking and drinking. It was the middle of the day. My mom also explained to me how when she was checking in a man pinched her butt as she walked by. She checked in in the middle of the day and this man was drunk and had the audacity to touch her. I don't know if this is the kind of clientele they normally cater to during the off season? The outside of the hotel itself was in need of updates. The paint was peeling, the lounge chairs were dirty and dingy looking. The pool had algae growing along the bottom and needed a good cleaning. My sister had said she swam in it the day before and felt like there was a film over it. Needless to say she didn't go back in which surprised me because she loves the pool. Inside the room there was paint missing from the walls, no artwork in the main living space. The bathroom was atrocious. The toilet felt like it was five inches off the ground so God help you if you have bad knees or joints. There was no towel rack or toilet paper holder. There were holes in the walls where these things should have been. I don't know if they are in the middle of updating but if they were they should have offered a different room. The "dining" area was made up of a table with plastic chairs. The light switches were even dirty. The window sill in the bathroom had dirt and dust all over it. Takes a second to wipe clean? Needless to say I was surprised that a hotel on the water in Wildwood would be in this condition. The rates for the off season were reasonable but I can imagine how much they go up during the summer. All I know is I wouldn't pay for this kind of quality. This is just my experience."
"I would give it a 5 location but I just can't. So first thing, the room smelled like straight mold (room 106) shades didn't work, TV had so much dust on it it was insane. Floors were so greasy and slick it was hard to believe it had been mopped ever. There were dirty cooking utensils, and I don't mean water marks, I'm talking dry crust. Grease on the burners was so bad that as soon as I turned them on it smoked for a few minutes. Please don't stay at this hotel. I woke up multiple nights with a heavy chest. I just let them have the last 3 days of my stay and just went elsewhere, that's how disgusting it was. Be warned."
"Cons: No closets, drawers smell of mold (no place to put your clothing), bathroom is in the kitchen. Loud at night, tight parking, some rude office staff. Efficiency rooms super small. Maid service is ok. They gave us fresh towels and new trash bags. Poor internet connection. Pros: Right on the beach, great Pizza/Icecream shop attached, Kitchenette furnished w/dishes, pans, toaster. Laundry on site. Pool is great for kids. We stayed in 2022 it was fantastic. We had an ocean front suite, meaning we had a living room/kitchen area with the bedroom (2 full size beds). I booked thru booking agency. JULY 2023 I booked directly. I told them on the phone I wanted a room with separate sitting area and a sofa. When we got there, we were booked into an efficiency. I went right down and told the man at the desk, he said he could give us a different room the next day for $300 more. The next morning I went down and explained this was not the room we wanted. The bathroom is in the kitchen, the dresser smelled of mold and mildew. I would've gladly paid $300 more as we were staying 5 days, 4 nights. But the man at desk said it'd be $450 & that I reserved the Efficiency. I asked if I could see the room to make sure dresser didnt have the se problem. The woman said you are the shore everything smells damp. Moldy, I sprayed w/Lysol it did not help. We stayed in the tiny efficiency."
"It was right on the beach which was very convenient but other than that the whole experience was a nightmare. The rooms were extremely tiny and the beds even more so. You pay so much money for such a small and disappointing room that you can barely live in. The bathroom is a small closet in the kitchen that you must struggle to do anything in. There is absolutely no place to put soaps and shampoos for your shower. The kitchen sink was so small you could barely clean any dishes in there and the kitchen table had no room to put anything on there trying to eat at that table is a big joke. The bedroom was even more disappointing than the bathroom closet that was located in our kitchen. The beds had dents in them that you could not roll out of and trying to fit two adults in the bed was near impossible. Their pillows were pitiful and the bed was all stained. This experience was an absolute nightmare and the man at the front desk did not make it any better. He had such a nasty attitude and ruined the whole atmosphere of the vacation for not only us but multiple guests. This hotel is a nightmare and I do not recommend it to anyone. You can get a much better hotel for a cheaper price and have a great experience unlike at this place."
"Staff at front desk during check on, our stay when we needed anything and check out were very friendly and nice. We got a recently remodeled room. New floors, and just painted. Just wish they had an extra lock for the door like other hotels do for security purposes , I just slid the table in front of the door. The beach is literally right by the hotel. But a 4 min drive from the board walk."
