Reviews of Casa d'Paco
"Leave up to Newark NJ to nestle interesting restaurants in the most interesting places. This one doesn't fail. There are many Spaniard restaurant in the Newark area but I was looking for a tapas place. We are welcomed in and immediately there is service. As we sit at the table. The bienvenidos and bread served instantly. Great start. The caldo gallego was exquisite. Made to perfection with just enough ham greens and other essential ingredients. It was a good starter. The Bombas de Barcelona is a tender croqueta with chorizo and a saffron aioli sauce. Delicate, flavorful and the sauce was spectacular. We also had the boquerones. Garlicky tangy salty boquerones. Yum. We had the pulpo a Fiera. The smoked sweet pimentón was just right to the taste. To round this up the Tabla's jamón ibérico was a treat along with the manchego cheese. Above all, service was absolutely great. Very attentive staff with a great attitude. Always making sure things are good and refilling the wine glasses. I was amazed at their strength in food selection. The tapas available are certain to please any palate. Give this place a try even if you have to drive. It is well worth it."
"Wow the customer service here is amazing they make you feel like they really do care about you! The food was amazing and also their margarita pitcher was really nice. We wanted more liquor in the margarita and they definitely delivered. I would go back! It's a small restaurant but really small but mighty if you know what I mean lol"
"parking is an absolute challenge here unless you opt for their valet (which we were glad they offered as we were tired of circling around and were in at a bit of a time limit). the tapas we got were all very good! i especially enjoyed the Octopus but the rest, such as the croquetas and churrasco, were amazing too. Service was also very friendly and accommodating. We really came in for the seafood paella and when it arrived it was of very generous portions and was ideal for sharing. For some reason it wasnt really the highlight for this visit as we very much enjoyed the tapas that the paella was then overlooked. I guess we were also used to a different consistency with how the rice is cooked (which i could not very well explain here) - the rice is their paella was good but was a bit too wet than what me and my group was used too. Overall a good visit and worth a try."
"It's definitely worth the stop. Parking can be a little tricky. It's authentic Spanish food. Everything tasted delicious. My only complaint was that the prime rib was overcooked, unfortunately, making it very dry. It's not cooked to order."
"Casa d'Paco is a super authentic Spanish restaurant. The atmosphere is super cozy and fitting for this bar restaurant. The seating is limited but that in no way is a negative. I prefer the small location as you get much more personal relationships with the wait staff. The service was excellent along with the meal. This will be my go-to spot when I am in this neighborhood."
