Mister East

"Beware when booking a private event here. Even after giving a deposit to reserve the main room toured, a week later they will say the room was booked to party promoters ( who will make them more money) and try to place you in the basement/storage room…the room is nothing like the main room reserved. A week before my event I was forced to find a new venue due to the unprofessional of Mister East, I was very disappointed in the service received as I have been a customer at Mister East for years, definitely lost me."

"We paid for a section but was made to wait outside in the cold for over half an hour. Our section was missing a seat/booth and our drinks took over an hour after to come. Crazy for this to happen in a business so focused on section-culture (literally, the dance floor got covered with sections in the last few years) Spend your money elsewhere"

"Terrible Experience!!! My advice to you, do not go here!! Disorganized, slow service, extremely rude staff. Waited outside for almost an hour to get in after paying for a section. Staff did not seem to care. When I tried to talk to someone about the wait inside, I was threatened. Did not get our bottles until 1am , 2 hours after we arrived and they were the WRONG bottles. The only person who was sympathetic seemed to be Mayah, the promoter. I was extremely disappointed and do not plan tk come back. Overpriced for terrible service!! To the venue, in the future, if you do not have enough staff to support the event, please do not hold it. Would like to hear others who also had a bad experience here."

"African American 40ish house music crowd. Had seats No service. Thts ok. Walked to back bar for food and drinks. This bartender lady of another color, she charged and added to our bill a 20% tip for herself. For what? The guests carried their own food and drinks back to their tables, so I felt offended. I thought 10% would've been enough tip for any worker under those circumstances. She probly would've made more tip if she smiled and didnt auto add on. With her hot pants and nipple shirt this was not a strip club event. But we can overlook that desperate attempt for 10% tips."

"Absolutely terrible, they’ll probably delete this. Hosted at Central Park in Linden, you’d think this place would be packed but it wasn’t. Went with a group of 15 for a friends birthday and had a downright terrible time. We didn’t reserve a table because we were told we didn’t have to, yet when we got in, after paying $30 each to get in, we were seated upstairs and within 10 minutes of being seated we were forced to go downstairs. Once downstairs we were being harassed by bottle service to pay $600 for 2 bottles and told us “You guys can’t sit here unless you pay for bottle service.” Absolutely ridiculous. Plenty of better clubs in and around this area, we figured this one was the easiest. Very rude & unhelpful staff making the experience way worse for all 15 people there and the bouncers wouldn’t let someone from our party back in even though they paid the entry fee & were given a wristband. What was the point of the wristband then? All in all, terrible place. Like I said there’s plenty of other places around there where you can spend way less money & have a way better time. Wont be returning, I suggest the same for you."
