B & J Wonderland Day Care #1

"We cannot say enough great things about Day Care 1. We transitioned from the Infant Nursery in July, and though we were nervous at first, it has been nothing but positive experiences from the start. Ms. Esmy, Ms. Caroline, and Ms. Genesis are wonderful providers. They are so caring and genuine, and they provide a wonderful learning and growing environment for our twins. Our girls have blossomed in the time they have been in their care. It's such a blessing to not have to worry about their safety or happiness while we are at work. They are simply the best and we are happy to have them in our lives!"

"This review is for the Infant Nursery. As first time parents my husband and I were really hesitant to send our daughter to daycare but had no other options. We lucked out so much with B & J Infant nursery. Ms. Brendy, Deja, Maury, the whole staff is amazing. They loved our daughter as much as we do. They treat these babies with so much love and with a 2:1 child to provider ratio they get to know the babies so well. Our daughter loved going to daycare every day and B & J was great about communication. It was our last day at the daycare because we're moving to a new state and I legitimately cried because I don't know that another daycare can hold up to the care we received from Ms. Brendy. Such an amazing place for babies to be safe and have fun."

"I cannot say enough good things about B and J daycare #1. The staff is friendly, supportive, and very responsive; oftentimes when I send a message, they respond within minutes. They are very loving with the kids and my son (who is on the shy side) felt instantly welcomed. Not only does my son love his caretakers, he is learning so much as well! The 3K program run by Miss Esme is superb. He is even learning things I teach my 6th grade students! And he is always very excited to tell me about the activities he did that day especially the science experiments. His speech and vocabulary has improved, his motor skills are also improving, and he has very tight friendships with the other kids. It's been wonderful watching him bloom under their care, from a shy, timid little boy to an exuberant and excited kid. I truly wish their program continued for 4K because I'm very sad my son will have to leave come September."

"My son went to location #4 in Washington heights for 8 months before we enrolled him in a UPK program that was just much more convenient for us location-wise. If his new school wasn’t much closer to us, we would have kept him here until it was time for kindergarten. We have absolutely loved our experience with B&J. They are safe, clean, professional, and genuinely care about all of their children. Our son only went twice per week while he was there, but he still talks about his facilitators and is always excited about “school”. They have some outdoor time every day the weather allows it, they provide all the kids three home cooked meals a day, they were better at getting our son to nap during the day than we are at home, and they help with potty training if you need it. Anyone would be lucky to get their kid a spot at B&J."

"As first-time parents, choosing the right day care was a pretty daunting task, especially during a pandemic. Our one-year-old daughter Rio has been attending B&J for almost 6 months now, and it has honestly been one of the best decisions my wife and I have made as parents! We started off bringing her only three days a week, but we’re now bringing her five days a week since the benefits have been amazing. After only a couple of weeks, we noticed Rio eating better, sleeping more consistently and being more social around new people. She has also become more independent during playtime, which allows mom and dad to actually get stuff done! I really can’t say enough great things about B&J. They’re always very accommodating, helpful and professional. Ms. Yoleiry, Ms. Gloria and the entire staff at Day Care 1 are wonderful, and Rio has really grown to love them. On top of that, the Brightwheel app they use for messaging and payments is simple and efficient, and the security cameras are a nice bonus (we find ourselves checking them not out of concern, but because it’s so amusing to watch Rio interact with other kids, ha). We highly recommend B&J to any parents who are looking for trustworthy, high-quality service (and at very reasonable rates)!"
