"All three of my kids went here. An absolutely nurturing community and an incredibly committed staff. In fact, one of the most amazing things is that no fewer than six of the staff members have been there for the eleven years (2007-2018) we have had kids there (and the number of teachers grows if you take any 5 year span). Many of the teachers come from the neighborhood and the teaching staff is diverse in terms of race and gender, providing a good range of role models for our children. These are great teachers and it was important to us that the people caring for our children were paid a living wage and decent benefits, and this dedication to BT’s teachers definitely contributes to the shared sense of respect and trust between parents and staff. The philosophy is child-centered, progressive play-based learning (ie, not “academic”). They are sure to get the kids outside pretty much every day (you can often see the kids in the neighborhood). There are workshops for parents on everything from sleep to looking for the right kindergarten. It is a great place."

They do not offer any kind of financial help or discounts to New Yorkers living on a tighter budget, which means once again money, not talent, equals access & opportunity. They do a good job at establishing elites from the cradle ... For what you pay, I imagine that the service must be... acceptable."
