"My experience with Bright Horizons has been challenging. It seems the company prioritizes financial concerns over employee well-being. Management appears to lack empathy, and I've overheard discouraging comments about employees being labeled as ungrateful for expressing concerns. Never in my life have I experienced such a horrible working environment."
"My child has been attending this Bright Horizons center since she was 3.5 months old, and we’ve had nothing but an incredible experience. My child has received nothing but wonderful care throughout it all. The classroom staff is attentive, nurturing and caring, and the leadership team has always made an effort to reach out to my husband and me, offer support, answer questions, as well as has shown nothing but kindness and care towards my child. Additionally, I’m so thankful for the learning opportunities that are offered - my child continues to advance and hit key milestones every day. I couldn’t imagine a better choice of care. Thank you Bright Horizons W 72nd St."
"You guys deserve no stars actually but I guess I have no choice but to give one…worst place ever to work at..they don’t care about your mental health or anything that has to do with you..if it isn’t HB they don’t care they want us to live breath this company some people have kids and family members to take care of…why work at a place with kids if you could care less about the staff who has them it doesn’t make sense…no shade to some of the parents but they only care about yall money they rather let’s sick kids come in and affect other kids…..theres no closed door policy why you picking your kid up at 2/3 and bringing them back unacceptable. They money hungry they know it be no space and they keep on adding kids to the roster which stresses us out there’s no communication they just everywhere….this whole company ridiculous"
"I would like to add to my review to be honest. I don't think I put enough thought as to why Bright Horizons on west 72nd street is the absolute worst place. My daughter has gone to several daycares. BH has been on we have been going to since she was in the two's program, she is now in 4k. Not only was the previous director horrible, she had favorites so she would tell one family one thing, then the other family wouldn't have the same privilege. She never followed up on any questions we had and communication was very last minute and awful. Fast forward to today. Half the staff has gotten fired and/or quit. All the staff seems miserable or scared that they are next on the chopping block. The communication if it's even possible is worse now. The favoritism has stopped but one day we come into the school and half of our teachers have gotten fired and replaced with people that we don't know and yet they don't tell anyone anything. Just all of a sudden, hey your kid has a new teacher, deal with it. If it wasn't for Ms. Pam or Nilda which I think are the best teachers, I would have pulled my kid out a LONG time ago. I've been asking for a follow up on a child that keeps hitting mine and other kids consistently over the past year and they keep saying, we are working on it....WITH ZERO CHANGE. Imagine coming to school to pickup your kid and they have marks all over their face and they say that this kid pulls my hair every day and pulls me to the ground and nothing is done. Get this kid an aid, how is this fair to all the other kids and the teachers. And finally this morning, coming into the school where I pay for 7:30am-6pm care and the front desk person looking at me and my child saying "The teacher can't take your child till 8am" I said why, she said "that's when school starts" and I said no, we PAY for early drop off and I've been coming here for YEARS. She had the nerve to tell me she's never seen me that early before. Well open your eyes, maybe you are not that bright, we've been coming here since she's been two. She quickly picks up the phone as if that was going to do anything and the teacher walks in at that moment and I asked her, don't we get here at 7:30am and she said yes and she got all flustered after being rude. How about knowing your facts before jumping down someone's throat in the morning. I hate this place more than anything, and they 100% need a lawsuit. Now if BH would like to actually do something about this and CALL me to get everything I have documented about them, please do so. I recommend any family to actually speak to the families that go here in person to see if they are happy, because I guarantee they are not."
"My 4 year old has been attending Bright Horizons W72nd street since 2021 and he has been thriving and happy to go to school every day. During covid, protocols were in place to ensure my son's health safety. The staff and director is responsive and personable and the teachers are amazing."
