Kids Academy Daycare & Preschool

"It took me a while to write this review but now is better than never. We came into kids academy and it was wonderful at first specially for a new parent, being able to have access to your kid and watch them from a camera was amazing. As my child started growing i realize the school had no structure, no routine. it was self play all day. Because my son didn’t have other kids his age it was a constant switch of classes, Infant, toddler, pre k back to toddler, they didn’t have a routine for him. It was always he was too big for this class or too small for that class. Some Kids like mine need a routine. He started developing speech delay and so we got him help, So now a therapist was going to school to give him sessions. Then the daycare decided because he didn’t fit into any of the classes lets put the two kids who aren’t doing their best together, or dont listen, or dont talk lets separated them from the other kids who they could learn from and honestly kids are a copy and paste so basically copy from to help them grow. I asked them to please not to do this because children are a copy a paste why isolate the two children who didn’t speak and who wasn’t good at listening into a class just them two by themself. i expressed that my son was improving to please keep him with the rest of the kids and i also expressed the other kid could also learn from them. This was our first red flag. Second red flag was.. You have one teacher who all she did was sit down all day in her phone. Third red flag was… Another teacher who just complained that he didn’t sit down for story time, yes a child who you have moved around constantly didn’t want to sit for something he didn’t do on the daily. I’m sorry. Fourth red flag was that.. I expresses my concern multiple times. Nothing ever changed it was fine, we still was very appreciated of how they were but we needed more teaching to be done. So with all these red flags we decided to look for a school with more routine and structure and we are really happy with our change as our son now speaks very well and sits down for story time. On our last day at kids academy, we enter the building and honestly we were very sad and scared, because we had grown comfortable to the daycare. We told craig listen if it doesnt work we will come right back as we was trying a new school closer to home. As i say Bye to the teachers and i thank one of the teachers for everything and speaking to her and asking her about another student we grew very close to, i was verbally attacked by another teacher and i wont say name because you know who you are. They twisted our words and said we have a problem with kids with disability.. but how could we have a problem with kids with disability if we have a kid with disability in therapy, YOUR school has a problem with kids with disability you isolate them so they are easier to handle. you screamed at kid because you show up late and he hugged you and you drop your coffee. If a kid is too much work you send him to another class. She left the room unattended and told a student “watch the class” screaming from the back of the school all the way to the doors in the front. Screaming at me in front of my children as their father begged you to stop. You did all this because you knew craig was not there and you thought you could do what you want. Craig son was there trying to stop the fight. Another teacher was watching the infants, so who did you leave all those kids with in the bathroom? alone. Because you wanted to play big bad wolf and push your self into my face and screaming at me while my son was in my knees scared. It was a horrible experienced. We came back to speak to craig and we know you guys dismissed everything we said. Yes we made our report to you and the school and even though it was not taken serious. This school has many reports made to them. Do your research. I must leave a review to please not to bring your kids with disability here. They will not treat them the same as every other kid. "Can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review, One year plus. I had brought my child here after trying other daycare/ preschools in the area. None can compare to kids academy! The staff and owner go above and beyond for the children and families. They truly treat us like we are their family! And my daughter is so happy there that even on the weekends she asked when is she going to see her teacher. If you're looking for a place in the area, I definitely suggest you check them out."

"I’ve had a really nice experience with Kids Academy. First off they have cameras which give me a lot of peace of mind to check in on my child but also it’s so nice when I am missing her at work to peak in whenever I want. The teachers are kind, the owner is very accommodating and easy going, the cost is reasonable, my daughter loves it there and never wants to leave, they are starting to do really fun activities and field trips, the class sizes are very small and my child (knock on wood) rarely is sick other than a few colds but I’m worried I will jinx this! I am sending my 5 month old son there next month as well and am so anxious about leaving him but am happy that I have the option to always check in on my guy. "Part 2 ( CONTINUED FROM REVIEW BY AMBER GARICA- CANT POST 2 REVIEWS WITH THE SAME EMAIL) Now about one month after her first day we couldn’t be happier. There are not even words to describe how much we love this facility. The teachers are all absolutely amazing! They keep you completely informed on every detail. There is never a second that someone isn’t available to let you know exactly what is going on. On top of that, when you call they never make you feel crazy for calling. They also put your mind at complete ease. Also keep in mind you can watch those magical cameras anytime you want!!! Don’t worry about the security of the cameras; you get your own private log in supplied to you. Every day when my husband and I come to pick up our baby she is always all smiles and laughs. She responds so well to all of her care givers there. During the day they keep her plenty occupied with all their toys, swings and bouncer options. They are constantly stimulating her and encouraging wonderful development. They work on tummy time, head strength and motion control. Needless to say our daughter is developing wonderfully with their guidance!! I failed to mention how sweet and lovely each teacher is as well. They are so friendly and make you feel beyond comfortable leaving your child with them all day. Anything you ask them to do they are right on it! There is never one second of worry in your day because you know you child is receiving impeccable care. We also receive text updates and adorable pictures throughout the day as well. To top it off, every single day we receive a report of feedings, changes, naps and everything that went on during the day. You never have to question anything because it is all on a paper that gets sent home with you. This is so awesome to make sure the baby is on track with everything. I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about this daycare, the ladies that work there and the owners. I never write reviews, but as new parents finding this place was a true miracle and I sincerely believe all parents should know about it!"

"PART 1 REVIEW ( TOO LONG TO FIT INTO ONE BOX) My husband and I moved to Midland Park in August of last year while I was still early in my pregnancy. Like any new parents, we were freaking out about who would watch our new little bundle of joy while we had to go to work. We started searching in our area and surrounding areas for the perfect place, but were very unsuccessful. The places we saw just didn’t make us feel comfortable leaving our baby for hours each day. We began to see signs for a new daycare opening and decided to check it out at the open house. We went on a rainy Saturday and completely fell in love. Now at this point we had already had our baby, so we were even picker with our search then we had been when I was pregnant. When we first walked through the doors of the daycare we both just knew this was the place for our little girl. We immediately meet the owner Craig who was beyond amazing. He walked us through the entire facility explaining every single detail. He showed us all the security systems in place (even though the neighborhood doesn’t call for it) he has top of the line everything. He showed us the amazing cameras to watch your baby on all day!!! As a parent you know this is such a blessing. I didn’t see that in any other places in the area. Everything in the facility was kept immaculate. Now I know the place was new so that doesn’t seem so amazing, but the organization of papers, documents, toys, child bins and everything your baby could ever need was completely impressive. The other places I saw that were around in the area for a while didn’t seem to have any type of organization that could even compare. One place we saw the infant care room doubled as a wreck room. My only concern after seeing the facility was that it was new which made me think the owners would be new to the business, but yet again any concerns we had vanished after hearing Craig and his wife have been in the business for 20 plus years. My husband and I decided right then and there this was without a doubt the place for our daughter. We wanted to sign up on the spot, but Craig encouraged us to go home and take our time and call him when we were ready. He never once pushed us to make a decision like all of the other places.
