"Let me start off and say I love this store and the home decor they sell. I shop at least bi weekly on their app because i live 30 min away and it’s more convenient. I shopped so much I received one of their notorious black bags and was so excited. Well last night was their vip black bag night and only customers with a black bag can go in. Well last night my mom and I decided to do other shopping around the pitman area as well. My mom lives even further about an hr away from pitman. We were so excited to go in and get some goodies for my wedding and her co workers. As soon as we got to the door the lady guarding the door asked for proof of my black bag and I showed her. She then proceeds to ask my mom for her black bag when I chimed in saying we’re together. The lady then proceeded to say “oh no only one person who has the bag can go in. I need to be fair to everyone.” I said to the lady so you’re gonna have my poor mom wait outside instead of just allowing her to come in with me who has a black bag. She said “yes it’s the rules” I looked at the lady and said so if I had kids you would have my kids wait outside because they didn’t have a black bag? She then answered “yes I would” I told my mom to go shop and I waited outside. I looked at the lady and told her that’s ridiculous. As I’m standing outside waiting for my mom another two ladies came and the same scenario. One woman had a black bag and the other did not. I was shocked to see the lady who gave my mom and I a hard time let them in! I was so unbelievably upset and turned off! When my mom was checking out she saw the owner and expressed what happened. The owner did try to make things right and came out front to tell me I could come in. At this point my mom was already done shopping and we wanted to do it together. The point of everything is for people and customers who spend so much money on your store you should treat a little better and treat everyone the same and equal. It wasn’t fair your lady security allowed some people to go in with a bag and some without. There are ways outside of rules and ways to talk to people in a humble and kind way. I am still going to shop here because like I said I do enjoy the products but want to make sure everyone knows the experience I had with this store and what seems to be unhumble and not so kind workers who treat customers who spend so much money there as dirt making their own rules."
