At times I found the process frustrating, but I think I was expecting a straightforward to-do list that I could box-tick until I had my visa! I would say to request a list of possible extra costs – as I ended up paying maybe an extra $500-$1,000 to get a certain certification, then for my embassy appointment and for registered post to return my documents.
