There is a strong emphasis on community, art, music, and above all, play. Children are listened to and respected, and as such learn to be self-sufficient and confidant in themselves. Both the children and their caregivers receive the utmost support from the team, with clear communication across the board. They are truly a little jewel of a school and such a valuable addition to the North Brooklyn community."

"Our experience at Mulberry House has been deeply formative for our family as we have watched our son develop from a young toddler with little language and social exposure (deep pandemic baby) to a thriving, engaged, expressive and confident child. We knew the environment and approach at Mulberry House was highly regarded, but it has far exceeded every expectation as we watch how our child and others grow in structured, yet child-led dialogue with the emergent curriculum, teachers, and larger community. It’s inspiring to watch and we don’t know how she does it! Same goes for her wonderful teachers, particularly Ms. Veronica and Teacher Lucy who we have known since last year and who our son adores. "When coming in for our first meet, I was a little unsure, nervous but also in amazement of the space. I've done all my research so I knew what Mulberry House had to offer: exploration, discovery etc. which is what I wanted for my child. I was just hoping we were able to have the opportunity based on our circumstances. I walked in just me and my toddler, in need of support...and a bit of guidance. Little did I know, Ms. Suzanne was more than prepared to receive us. We were welcomed into Mulberry House that day, and our lives were forever changed. I came into Mulberry House as a single parent, and left being a part of such a wonderful community. Thank you for allowing our family to come as we are. "Mulberry House is pure magic. From the main classroom to the atelier to the outdoor classroom, our 3-year-old can’t get enough of the space, the teachers, and her friends. The teachers know her so well, and she has grown so much in the time she’s spent there as a summer camper and school year student. The communication from school is like no other: daily photos, highlight stories, and respectful and responsive texts or emails for updates when needed. As an educator I appreciate Suzanne and her team’s ability to be inspired by the interests of their students when cultivating the materials available to children daily and creating an enriching environment for structured yet play-based learning. Our kiddo has truly thrived there, and we have made some wonderful parent friends thanks in large part to the Mulberry House Family Connections Events.
