"the only experience i have with this center is the 12th floor for a thyroid biopsy. first of all the place is SO serene with huge windows with stunning views. there is a really nice waiting room with huge window wall, where you can join the wifi and work on your computer. very nice receptionist. great huge private bathrooms by reception. i was very nervous for my thryoid biopsy especially bc i am allergic to certain forms of anasthesia. the 3 staff members who were part of the biopsy team were so kind and friendly - but more importantly i just got the sense, fwiw, that i was in very capable hands. without anasthesia it still didnt hurt much, only mildly. you have to tilt your head back and dont swallow (you can breathe normally) while they put in a very fine needle (i thought...this is it?) that doesnt hurt at all. then they have to shake a little bit to take out the sample and it doesnt last long. for me they did two needles and boom it was done. i was so grateful to be in such capable hands and to be in such a fantastic, absolutely serene, waiting room. if i knew it was going to be like this, i wouldnt have been scared at all. my anticipation for the appointment was so nervewracking, and what actually happened was a cakewalk."
"This is a pharmacy inside the hospital and it is the worst one I have ever experienced. We had to wait 40 minutes for ibuprofen??? Who does that? The only reason is because the hospital send our prescription to them. Do not make the same mistake, tell the hospital to use your local pharmacy instead. This one has 10 people inside and no one wants to help you."
"First, I want to say that the surgeons and doctors here are excellent. I recently had a very intensive procedure and 9 day stay here and the reason for my poor review is the conditions of the hospital under staffing. I had received two pretty intensive brain surgeries during my stay, and I was placed in a recovery unit on a gurney, not a bed, for nearly 20 hours awaiting the room/unit that I was meant to be transported to, simply because there was nobody available to clean my room for that entire time. They'll claim that they care about patient experience, but they don't. Certain staff seem jaded and cold as a result of administrators seeking profitability and KPIs and it shows. I'm also very disappointed in how this hospital handles pain management. They go off of the old-school happy face - sad/crying 1-10 scale system. I'm a man in his 30s and they have a total of 5 pain management doctors for this whole hospital. The entire 9 day stay I was in the 'severe pain' range (7-10), and these 5 pain management doctors were constantly needing to be paged for consultations, for which they would maybe show up 4-6 hours later (or not at all) and it was clear that, because I tend to hide my pain and I don't cry, most of them would outright not try to help me or ignore what I was telling them about my suffering after undergoing such an intense surgery. Again, this was some of them, not all. I even had one PM doctor come in to my room with 3 medical students, clearly with the intent on showing them 'how to say no to someone'. If it weren't for my trust and confidence in my doctors and surgeon's, who I rarely see after the procedure and during the stay - I would choose a different hospital for any procedure for a better level of care."
"I have been asking for something simple they did not listen to any requests it is now 4 days later I'm home in excruciating pain. Now they want me to go to a different hospital which is absolutely not my convenient to me at all New York langone in the 3,%"
"Best hospital facilities I’ve ever been in. And I’ve visited quite a few hospitals while tending to my parents in the past decade. And the bonus is all the amazing people who work here. Be it in the rooms, cafe, waiting room, all the people associated to this community in this hospital are compassionate and helpful. They are Amazing! Thank you! PS: This is my dad Leonard Cerisano."
