Reviews of Community Medical Center Women's Imaging Center - Toms River
"I went there today for the first time for a 6 month follow up because I had moved from my usual radiology group. I moved here in September and made an appointment for December in Barnegat. I brought them all my mammogram films and reports and they said they copied them to my files. I was scheduled for today in the Toms River Office because the scheduling department screwed up my appointment.I took all my films and reports I. mammogram technician was great then I had to get a sonogram. The sonogram tech took the films. She came back in said they didn't see anything and that they didn't have my previous sonogram disc she said it wasn't with all my other discs. She said she thoroughly looked over everything and there was nothing there. I was told that the radiologist would speak to me which she didn't and if I was missing the sonogram disc they had my discs since September why didn't they call my previous radiology group or me. I feel like they didn't know what they were doing."
"Very professional and a stress free experience with minimal wait time was a definite plus. Thank you."
"I had a mammogram and stereotactic biopsy at this facility. Dr. Morgan, Karen and Sheila were so kind during the procedure. I was very nervous during the biopsy, but they made sure I was comfortable and kept me calm. I highly recommend this location because they are caring, compassionate people! Thank you."
"I hate to write a bad review, but after the way I was treated there, I would not recommend any young woman (under 30) go there. I made an appt ahead of time with two detailed RXs from my doctor, and they called me back to adjust, which was fine. However, they called to fix my mammmogram appt (I am only 23 with a family history of breast cancer starting as young as 21), completely eliminating my ultrasound, something that was more urgent. When I got there, the lack of sensitivity surrounding young women getting preventative care was astounding. I sat and waited for my mammogram, and once in the room with the tech, the look she gave me when I said my age made me feel awful, like I was just there to cause her problems. She then asked to feel for my lumps that my doctor had felt, and when she couldn't feel them, she told me I can't get a mammogram and I needed an ultrasound, which I had a feeling was going to happen. When she told me I needed to wait because they didn't have the RX, I reminded her that I booked my initial appt with it but brought it just in case, which made her give me a look like I was, once again, causing problems. Once I got my ultrasound and was with that tech, I felt so much more comfortable, as she was closer to my age, and the doctor telling me everything was okay gave me peace of mind, but after the first interaction with the mammo tech, I would not go back for any preventative care simply out of anxiety that she would be my tech again. If you're 30 or older, it's a great facility, but if you need care and are younger than that, look into other imaging centers that are more equipped for handling high risk breast cancer imaging cases."
"I had a mammography and a stereotactic biopsy there..very pleased. I have had a breast problem since I was 19 yrs old..i am now 69. Very caring staff and doctors. I highly recommend this facility."
