"The reception at the hotel is very hospitable. I felt very welcomed. The person by the name of Sky was courteous and respectful. I appreciate her letting me know about the hotel and what it has to offer while staying."
"Very rough neighbourhood close to a subway station & to find food, but don't venture out alone. The hotel itself is self contained for the most part. The lobby is open and two levels with the breakfast area down the stairs. There are multiple enclosed spaces on the roof & on the lower levels. The staff was friendly & accommodating and quite polite. There was a great deal of noise outside but the hotel wasn't to blame. I just want any other light sleeps to be wary"
"Worst experience ever: We reserved an accessible room with a rolling shower because my daughter uses a wheelchair. I requested an early check-in because my daughter had an earlier flight than my wife and I. I confirmed everything the day before our arrival. When my daughter arrived at 2:00 pm, her room wasn’t ready, and she had to wait an hour to receive the room key. Surprisingly, the hotel gave her a regular, inaccessible, room. After contacting the hotel, they found an accessible room, but it had a lingering smoke odor. Despite my asthma concerns, we agreed to inspect the room after cleaning because the accessible bathroom was crucial. Meanwhile, my daughter waited in the lobby. Upon my arrival, we were supposed to see the accessible, potentially smelly room, but it had been sold, leaving us with the only option of taking the inaccessible room. We accepted it due to the late hour. Requesting a shower chair for my daughter revealed another surprise – they didn't have one, providing a cushioned dining chair instead, which was unsafe in the shower. In New York for medical reasons, this situation added unnecessary stress before our daughter’s surgery. Fortunately, I booked another hotel for the remainder of our trip. The manager offered points to my Bonvoy account, but I emphasized that this wasn't about money; it was about violating ADA policy. Merely apologizing falls short for disabled individuals; they need more than a simple acknowledgment of error. Despite not being charged for the night, it's crucial for the hotel administration to understand the importance of adhering to ADA policy. Do better."
"Staff was exceptional, Zarifa (hope I got her name correctly) got us checked in and accommodated very quickly upon arrival which was past midnight. Skyy was very helpful with lots of great recommendations on local restaurants and the closest subway stations. On our Friday of the week of our stay the hotel hosted a hot chocolate and S'mores night. Christina was an exceptional hostess and filled us in all the details of the area and some additional restaurant suggestions. Location is great, about 5 minutes to the F shuttle to Roosevelt Island and Manhattan with the late night train dropping you off at Queens Plaza, about 15 minute walk to hotel. Neighborhood is quiet and safe, would definitely stay here on our next visit to NYC."
"Antonio and Sofia were absolutely amazing! They faced a long line of guests checking in but were so kind, accommodating, and apologetic about the wait. They are 5 star employees! Location of this hotel is a little interesting… but the actual hotel itself is modern and clean."
