"The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It looks nice but everything in it is cheap and it seems that every minute we stayed more things started to break. Our tv didn’t work and they kept giving us new remotes which did not fix anything. There was no hot water, in December! The toilet wouldn’t refill itself I had to manually take the tank lid off and pull up on the lever. The staff seems to be disorganized and out of communication with management? One told us we were going to switch room and the other said they were completely booked. Look I’m not a high maintenance person, I just want basic amenities! Especially for this price. Save yourself the headache and do not stay here. EDIT: I was hoping to erase this review that the hotel had moved us to a new room and then said they would comp our room entirely (which we didn’t even ask for they offered). Coming home and still not seeing the credit I called about it and they said the man working at the front desk had no authority to do ( which he told us he spoke to the property manager and this was approved) and they will not be refunding our stay. So I fully stand by saying DO NOT STAY HERE."
"The hotel is nice. Bed is nice, everything is great. My family had a great time. Only thing I could do without is the loud music from downstairs blasting all the way to my room on the first floor. really kept us from taking a simple nap"
"The hotel was very clean and staff was super friendly they had our room ready in no time. Close to the train station and walking distance to many shops. If you know NY you know all hotels rooms are small. This room was spacious at about 332 sq. feet with a street view. I booked the Superior King Room I loved they have robes and slippers in the room for your comfort. To my ladies yes they have full length body mirror! I will definitely stay here again! I have nothing negative to say I was very pleased."
"Best hotel I’ve been to in a long time. And I travel for leisure a lot. Quiet location with a parking lot but also has street parking which we did for free. Small lobby and not a huge building so not a far walk from the elevator to the rooms. Less walking with bags makes me happy. Rooms are small but it’s Brooklyn. I had more than enough room for 3 people. Friendly front desk staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. But the number one thing I loved? Someone always answers the phone!!! I don’t have to press numbers or do anything but call. Love it! Can’t wait to stay again!"
"I write this review to enthusiastically commend the management at Hotel 42 for our recent stay. The desk service was very friendly and efficient in getting my wife and I checked in. Further, the room we were assigned was bright as it was able to properly accommodate the both of us. I further loved how the location was convenient to downtown Williamsburg. Price-wise, the nightly rate we got was reasonable given it was in the NYC area. Lastly, the breakfast at the Cafe on-premise was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had in this country. Highly recommend!"
