Reviews of The Ridge Hotel
"I stayed at the Ridge with 2 friends of mine during the past Christmas holiday. They gave us a triple room which was really small. We literally had to do acrobatics in order to open our luggages and we found that quite annoying. Moreover, they never cleaned our room during our stay, which is very unhygienic since we stayed there 10 days (apparently, you have to pay a $35 fee if you want your room to be cleaned). However, the most unpleasant inconvenience we had while staying there was when our room door was blocked and we couldn't open it. It happened around 11 pm and there was no one at the reception! We tried to contact them multiple times (phone + email) but they never replied. Fortunately, some customers who had a similar problem were able to contact the assistance and we finally got a new code for our door. We waited more than 2 hours before being able to enter our room and I find that shameful! If it was possible, I would rate the customer service 0/10! Overall, I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. The only positive thing about it is the location, which is perfect to reach both the city center and the Brooklyn (the metro is really close to the hotel)."
"Did a small trip to the city just for a few days to see the Holiday festivities and ran across this place and it was worth it. If your looking for a spot to just put your belongings have some privacy and be in and out with out the big expense this is your place. When I arrived Jasmine at the front desk was very helpful and friendly and gave a tour of property and informed me of local shops and whats near by if I need something. Overall experience was good. I will stay here again no question abt it."
"Location is great you’re in the middle of everything F train is less than a block away and there’s a bunch of restaurants and shops in the vicinity. Hotel is more or less and AirBNB. No cleaning and front desk is only there at set hours but other than that it’s a great deal. All extra toiletries and towels that you need are available 24/7 although there isn’t anyone at the desks. The rooms were plenty warm and have a pretty big bathroom for the size of the room. Also there’s a bonus rooftop with amazing views."
"Stay away from room 101. This room is in the lobby and is super loud. Should be offered at a discount rate. Rooftop meeting place is lovely and the basement common area make group travel easier. Staff were wonderful! Rooms themselves are clean and updated. Fridge and micro were included. Good location and close to subway etc."
"We stayed at the Ridge for 6 nights two people and it was very nice. A small room with a space for a bed and a fridge, which is what you need really. Every hotel in New York is expensive, but we think we got what we paid for: a nice/regular room with a great location and view. I rated service 1/5 because we didn’t have any encounter with staff, so service is not really present nor not-present ? Only negative is that the room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay. It would have been nice with just one cleaning and changing of towels etc."
