Kimpton Hotel Theta

"I will start by saying that the staff at this hotel are super friendly. We had excellent interactions with them! However, I feel like this hotel is not equipped to handle the number of customers they get. We requested an early check in but it could not be accommodated, which we understand. Check in was supposed to be at 3 and we were told we would be called when the room was ready. Since we heard nothing, we went to the hotel at 3:30 to check and received a call that our room was ready as we walked through the door. The room itself was nice and the beds were very comfortable. What was not comfortable was the fact that we could clearly hear conversations on both sides of the room. This would have been ok, if it didn’t continue well past midnight. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to avoid this hotel as the thinness of the walls will allow you to hear any conversation taking place. Would I stay here again? Personally, no. It also makes me wary of staying at or recommending a Kimpton to anyone."

"I stayed here with my 2 daughters for an NYC getaway Dec.25-30, 2023. Although pricey, it was the going rate for Christmastime in NYC. Very spacious room - 2 queen beds which were very comfortable, 2 chairs, desk/dresser, mini fridge, space for suitcases, etc. Turndown service every day, excellent location - especially for seeing Broadway shows and eating out. We arrived 2 hours before official check-in time, and the room was ready for us. ALL the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby is beautiful. There was noise of traffic, but nothing too extreme. Elevators quick and convenient. Yes, the walls are thin, but this is unavoidable in most hotels. Free coffee 8-9am, Free wine 5-6pm. Snack bar/small restaurant open limited hours for food purchases. Really an excellent experience; no complaints."

"Our stay was very pleasing! Top notch customer service! Rooms were a great size! The location was perfect; we were near everything. I loved that they offered free coffee in the morning and drinks in the early evening. I plan to return in. few months. Hopefully, the restaurants will be open by then! Overall, I enjoyed my stay! This is definitely a hidden gem! Thank you for an enjoyable stay!!"

"What a great hotel this was! The staff is super friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The rooms are also great and quite large if you look at the standards within New York, but also incredibly clean and nicely finished to the detail. The cleaners are also super friendly and make sure the beds are made daily, super nice! Furthermore, this hotel is also great located and everything is pretty accessible to walk to. You hardly notice the crowds around the hotel, apart from the occasional honking or a fire truck passing by with its sirens blaring. We will definitely come back here in the future!"

The staff was very friendly, and I especially appreciated the assistance of May L., Director of Sales, who promptly and kindly made a requested adjustment to my reservation. The entire hotel was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. The room and the bed was very comfortable. The location was extremely convenient and I really appreciated the free coffee in the morning. Can't wait to return to this fantastic hotel."
