Beacon Hermitage

"We had an amazing time at Beacon Hermitage. Jim’s hospitality was incredible, he made us feel so welcome. He even gave us a flask of coffee and some gloves for our hike, and gave us advice and a ride to the trailhead. The house is lovely, and it’s dead easy to explore the local trails, and the towns Beacon and Cold Springs from there. Thanks again for a lovely stay, all the best! (Oh, and Hudson river is absolutely stunning!)"

"I had the good fortune to stay at Beacon Hermitage last week and must say it was a wonderful stay. The home was charming with an eclectic collection of art and collectibles. The grounds surrounding the property were beautiful and peaceful and featured its own water fall . There were many little dreamy areas to sit, relax and enjoy the views. The hosts with their precious dogs were lovely as well. I only wish I had more time to enjoy our stay as we had only one night."

"Wonderful! The “feel right at home” experience was perfect. Jim is a great host… warm, friendly and a treat to talk with! The home is neat, clean and well appointed. The grounds are large enough to relax if you want to too. The location is perfect: right between Cold Spring and Beacon. Also, since Jim only hosts a small amount of people, you certainly feel his wonderful spirit and hospitality. Great place."

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hermitage. It was a lovely and experience! The grounds are filled with statues and sculptures, lovely gardens and contemplative areas. The floor to ceiling paintings in the foyer make you feel as if you have walked into a beautiful European art museum. The rooms are comfortable, nicely appointed and immaculate. Our host, Jim, was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. Highly recommend it!"
