Reviews of VFS Indian Consular Application Centre
"I am not able to give it even one star but I am forced to if I want to post the comment. This is a horrible process. Also, VFS and Consulate keep asking for the same documents over and over. This is a money making scheme. Hate it. This should be simple for people who were born in India. Instead they are driving folks away. I have to admit the Indian Govt knows how to make money as this Vendor VFS might be giving them kickbacks. I can't believe this process exists and we are bounded by our relationships in India to go back and forth. Also to have anything like a bank account and etc need a Pan Card which requires now an OCI. OCI is a gimmick."
"Worst embassy I been to, and if I could rate it less than one star I would. Very poor service and the staff are not helpful. I applied for an Indian visa and they took 14 days to tell me it’s been denied and missing a document, so I applied again and still denied it for no reason, even tho I had all the documents they asked for."
"Applied for Indian passport reissue - normal I submitted my documents in person. There were two things missing/incorrect in my documents. They have gone through my documents and told me to come back in next 4hours to keep my appointment with correction and right documents. I did that quickly at nearby UPS store. There websites is hard to follow. So i came in person. Application fees and return courier fee can be paid in-person using credit card. (this is not mentioned clearly on website). Passport size photos can be taken at the centre for 8usd. Make sure all forms marked as mandatory in checklist are part of your application. Few of them need to be notarized. I did mine in UPS. I got my passport back in exactly 7 days from the time i submitted application in courier."
"This place is terrible. Don't come here for Hajj payments since this is for India and all you have to do is perform a SWIFT wire transfer to pay for your Hajj Nusuk bill. You can quickly and easily do a SWIFT wire transfer in the Chase bank mobile app or on their website with the IBIN and that Nusuk gives you, it will take about 3 days to go through. These guys are incompetent, don't waste your time."
"I had sent my documents to this center for passport reissue on Jan 24th and they replied back on 25th saying that the first two pages of my passport application was missing and that my lease was missing the signature page along with the notary information. Both of these documents were already contained in the envelope that I sent and I therefore called VFS and they escalated the issue for me, stating that I would receive an update within 2 to 3 days. Its is 31st now and as there was still no update, I called them again and they re-escalated the issue and they asked me to wait another 48 hours. They informed me that they are just a call center and can only relay information that they get. Meaning that you have to pay to talk to employees who really can't do anything to help apart from repeating what I already know. When I pressured them on what I can do if my documents are misplaced again, they said that they would raise another escalation. How can one company be so bad? It is unfortunate that Indians abroad have to deal with this lousy organisation to complete our passport and visa needs. They lack any sincerity or urgency for applicants and have consistently let me down. They charge for all services including talking to their unhelpful customer support, and yet provide no updates or useful communication."
