"Where there's a *Will*, there's a way. I was only planning on staying long enough to get a few hours' sleep before needing to get to a very early appointment nearby. Unfortunately, heavy rainfall conspired to keep me away, with every route my GPS suggested leaded to flooded roads. Fortunately, I reached Will at the front desk, who talked me though a way around the flooded roads and got me parked and checked in safely. We had record rains and flood waters were encroaching on the parking lot but Will assured me he'd keep an eye out all night and call my room if we got into any trouble. His patience, local knowledge and consideration were worth way more than the cost of the room (which was clean and quiet, by the way). I got a couple hours of sleep, but mostly I felt grateful that there was someone at this hotel who expressed genuine concern for my welfare as a guest. Kudos to Will!"
"This place is average at best. No benefits for platinum members. I miss the complimentary water bottles and breakfast. We are platinum elite and have tried to maintain our status but may consider dropping it in the near future as we have seen better options and more value without having to remain loyal to Marriott. Multiple hotels offer complimentary breakfast without being any status which works out really well when traveling with kids."
"Disappointing Hotel Experience: Overbooking and Noise Nightmares Our recent stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel had overbooked, resulting in us being placed in a smaller room with a queen bed instead of the king bed we had reserved. The staff mentioned that the website does not provide information on room availability, leaving guests in the dark about potential overbooking issues. The second night was even more problematic. Our neighbors were engaged in disruptive and noisy activities until 4:45 am. Despite calling the main office three times, it took a considerable effort to get them to quiet down. While the staff did offer to switch our rooms that night, the timing was inconvenient as we had an early flight in just two hours. Packing and moving at that point seemed more hassle than it was worth. During check-out, we were promised that a manager would contact us to discuss a possible credit for the inconveniences we faced. Unfortunately, no manager reached out, prompting us to follow up the next day with a phone call. Once again, we were assured that a manager would contact us, but to date, we have received no such communication. The combination of overbooking, noise disturbances, and the lack of follow-up from the management has left us thoroughly disappointed with our stay. We expected better service and communication, especially considering the challenges we encountered. As a result, we feel compelled to share our experience through this review in the hope that it prompts the necessary improvements."
"Wort customer service I have ever encountered. I will mention his names a few times based on the severe lack of respect the front desk associate has. His Name is Mohamed he will not attempt to assist you in any way. We were up here for a hockey game with my two children. We booked our room through Marriot did an online check in, we arrive at the hotel around 11:30 for him to tell us the hotel was over booked and they don’t have a room or reservation for us. We are hours from our home with two kids. Mohamed told us good luck he can’t or won’t do anything for us.we assist in another hotel and that we are on our own. Mohamed said he was done for the night, but yet he stayed another 30 min counting money. He had nothing but smug looks and attitude and gave no consideration towards the customer. Not to mention the snarky comments he would make toward us while we try and find a room and my kids basically falling asleep on the chairs in the lobby. If you are ever looking for assistance or customer support steer clear as you won’t get it from him."
"The hotel is nice, the staff was really nice and helpful as well. It's quite pricey for the accommodations offered. The location is quiet but it's very secluded so if you don't have a car, I would recommend bringing food/beverages or prepare to order food/eat at the bistro which is open until 10:30 am then opens up again at 3:30."
