La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fairfield NJ

"I would give this hotel a negative 10-star review. If all La Quinta hotels, if you can even call them that, are similar to this one, I am baffled as to how they manage to stay in business. This was my first and last time staying at a La Quinta property. Considering the price they charge per room, one would expect cleanliness and at least basic amenities. Unfortunately, this hotel fails in both aspects. During my stay, the police showed up on three consecutive days, raising concerns about the hotel's potential involvement in suspicious activities. The staff in the kitchen were shockingly rude, yelling at customers and threatening to close the breakfast section simply because we used butter on a bagel. The overall management and state of affairs at this hotel are perplexing. This has been the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We initially booked it for its location, but the reality fell far short of our expectations. I strongly advise against booking this hotel; there must be better alternatives available."

"Unfortunately, my experience at La Quinta Fairfield was highly disappointing. We had reserved a room three weeks prior to New Year's Eve, anticipating a smooth stay. However, upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel was overbooked and initially told there was no room available for us. After some negotiation, we were offered a room, but it was far below acceptable standards. The room was in a disarray, and disturbingly, there was hair on the bed, indicating a serious lapse in cleanliness. This situation compelled us to cancel our stay and leave the hotel. I find it necessary to express my concern about the apparent lack of maintenance and hygiene at this establishment."

"I was only staying one night, just need somewhere to rest for the night. For me and my sister. Location was great, right near the highway and the willowbrook mall area. Front desk was fine. My issue comes to the hotel it self. The smell of weed is strong not that I care but it is there for people that do. Rooms were not the cleanest. Stains and a very gross shower, in both rooms, Unfortunately as well. Right as me and my group were closing our eyes to go to bed. I looked at my hand and saw a bug on it. I freaked out, turned the lights on and sure enough it was a bed bug. (Photo proof) Front desk did give us a new room and though better inspection the new room did not have any bedbugs. I was told to come down the next day for a discount. I did so and I was given 50% off. Which I do very much so appreciate. Need a refresh and a better cleaning team."

"It’s a great for a place to sleep. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room. The room was clean, the towels were clean and fluffy. The ceiling near the common area of the hotel was leaking pretty bad when I arrived. There were buckets everywhere however it did not stop the staff from providing pleasant service during the checking in. The staff were kind and pleasant. The floors and the hallway walls were pretty dirty but it was tolerable."

"THIS PLACE IS A DUMP. Not Operating by Wyndham, it's a franchise. I strongly recommend paying more for a clean, well maintained property. The picture online are not what you will receive. The entire building should be condemned, the lobby is dark, damp and solid looking. Walking down the hallway you feel like am I going to get robbed. The carpet has never been cleaned, trash sitting in front of people's doors all hours of the day and night. Arriving to my first room, there was dust everywhere, cob webs in the window and the room looked like it was set up for a witness protection program. I asked to be moved due to all of the noise coming from other rooms and filth. It was so disgusting I showered in my flip flops. When moved to next room things did not get better... Loud music from a guy playing guitar and swearing at the house keeping staff. Water stains on the decaying ceiling and bathroom walls. It so bad they did not even have clan face towels when I requested it. I can't believe they charge $145 per night. Please do not stay here. IT'S A DUMP."
