"This was my first Drive-in Movie experience and I enjoyed it. One of my favs purchased tickets a while ago and the deadline to use it was days away. They finally had a movie on the line up that she was interested in and she extended an invite to me. I was hyped because I don't recall ever attending a drive-in movie before and they were showing Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. I originally wanted catch this at a 4DX showing but missed the opportunity. I arrived early parked and waited for her to arrive. Not sure of the protocol, but I walked in the gate and when I located the car I hopped in, with her and the fam. There were people who walked in with chairs and sat in particular area to watch the movie of their choice. There was a total of three (3) different movies showing on different screens. You tune into the radio station that corresponded with the movie you were there to see. They offer a concession stand for snacks and there are picnic tables to sit at if you so choose. Of course you're welcome to bring whatever you want to snack on in your vehicle. Due to traffic I had limited time to pick up snacks. However, I did have a friend deliver adult beverages.. The owner of @bearded.bartender (IG) came through with the delivery right the drive-in (thank you sir). My friend headed to the snack stand for some items to munch on. I don't know prices but she came back with ice cups for the adult drinks, popcorn, and some meatless chicken nuggets. The nuggets were absolutely horrible. However, the popcorn was amazing. That says a lot coming from me because I'm not particularly a fan because I can't stand when the kernels get stuck in your teeth, but this popcorn was good. Overall, a great first time experience I will definitely go again. I now know what to do to make the adventure even more enjoyable. Just A Note: Pick up food/snacks before hand and arrive early for an obstructed spot, you can also bring chairs if you want sit outside your vehicle and enjoy the breeze."
"NEVER AGAIN! The workers (one in particular) are rude, the bathrooms were hot, stinky and filthy and the patrons are inconsiderate! We got there early to get a good parking but they put all oversized vehicles (anything larger than a standard sedan) either on a weird angle or all the way in the back. We stayed towards the back but several people tried sitting on top of their vehicles, one couple was making out OUTSIDE of their car and several people kept turning their car lights on, even though it's against the rules. I swear, when the movie started, the workers must have gone on break because they didn't enforce any of the rules so we had carlights blaring in our eyes as we tried to watch the screen (which is obviously a bunch of tiny screens patched together to make one large screen). It rained while we were watching the movie and although we were safe in our vehicle, the projector fogged up and the movie was even harder to see. I say that the workers must have ALL been on break because the rain was only wiped off of the projector ONCE and that was several minutes into the fogging and it wasn't wiped off at all after that. Also, the snacks are overpriced, just like a regular theater. I mean, the concept of a retro drive-in in NYC is very cool, which is why we went. It was worth a shot, the view IS nice and there are picnic tables where you can eat any food (you can bring your own) you want. Those are the positives. Not at all worth a return visit."
"We went there for 4th of July and it was absolutely amazing!! It's on the water with gorgeous Manhattan Skyline views! There was a market outside in the afternoon which was cool. Music inside and overall really good atmosphere."
"A very nice drive-in cinema in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I read many people complaining about the screen and the sound, but if you're lucky enough to get the main screen, you will have no issues with that. The screen is big enough, and the sound is pretty good. The place sell some snacks, and the chairs are kind of comfortable. The view of New York City is astonishing, especially once it gets dark. There are restrooms available, but only 2 and out of the dependencies. In summary, an amazing experience!"
"The good: 1. Great view of the city! But this is a drive in movie and I didn’t go there for the view. 2. The sound sync’ed into the car pretty good. 3. Bring your own food and drinks. The bad: 1. There are three screens at the location and they are very close to each other, with the sound from each movie going over each other. We were mainly hearing the other movie while sitting outside and not ours. Also the screen next to our screen was really distracting. 2. The cars are parked very close to each other. The car next to ours kept smoking and coming into our car. 3. Got there early and got a front row spot. If sitting outside of the car, you can not hear the movie from the outside speakers. Also it was very windy, and wind kept blowing sand all over my face and eyes. 4. Quality of the screens were really bad. They are not that big. Smaller than an average billboard. Overall it was a very bad and disappointing experience. Because we got there early, we got to park up front, but because of the spaces are so tight, not sure if the people in the back got a good view of the movie, as we were up front and it was mediocre at best. The experience would definitely be better, only if you are ready to keep your car running for duration of movie with windows closed and listening only to the broadcasted sound of the movie though the radio."
