"This company needs to be investigated. Their service is a $ grab. I still waiting for my Visas. I had to dispute charges with my bank. the BBB gives them a F rating. The cruise lines need to stop sending their travelers to Visa Central web site for Visas and passports."
"I will try the "SUBLIMINAL" approach in the hopes that whoever reads this it will stick in their minds and not do business with them. The company is: CIBT, CIBT, CIBT, CIBT, ETC. They are the absolute worst company to do business with, and, how American Express works with them is a big questions well. Their business practices and lack of communication should be reviewed by every company who recommends them. If not, their business will eventually be harmed as well. After submitting what we thought was a paid in full pay't. with an invoice stating such they started submitting additional invoices. I tried calling CIBT four (4) times always being told that someone will contact me within 24 to 48 hours. I NEVER HEARD FROM ANYONE! Wanting to resolve this with them, but, not getting anywhere I decided to get American Express involved where payment was being made. They contacted CIBT, and had not heard from them after weeks. Amex decided to credit my account, however, after a few weeks they decided to charge me back after they indicated they had heard from CIBT. After weeks of submitting documents AMEX then placed a phone call to me to discuss the issue. They left a certain phone number and ext. to return their call being I was not in. A few hours later I returned the call only having to leave a message. The following day I called again, and the day after that, and the day after that. I NEVER RECEIVED A RETURNED PHONE CALL, this after four (4)attempts. Well, the next step was the office of the CEO of AMEX. I decided to send a letter rather than an email (for in some situations a letter gets better attention). and, that it did, for within 25 mins. of my letter being received, I get a phone call from a Bridget Garwood, Assistant in the executive offices. After a few weeks of getting nowhere with Ms. Garwood, with CIBT being devious, nefarious and hiding behind paper work and documents I decided after spending months on this to bite the bullet and end it by paying what they considered properly due them. A position I never take! Ms Garwood ofAmex. suggested that I attempt to call them again to try and resolve it with them for they (AMEX) are not in a position to do this. Well after four (4)attempts trying to reach them before, with never hearing from them, I was not going to start that process all over again. Further, Ms. Garwood indicated she would be sending me an email by Dec. 15 outlining their decisions. GUESS WHAT: I never her from her. After, reading all these poor reviews CiBT I guess I am not alone. AJM"
"Absolute scam of a business. I spent two months submitting information and paying more money to process my visa to China. After delaying my business trip two times, I gave up on this service and found another one that processed everything for me in 3 days. I asked for a refund from the company because they literally did nothing at all for me. They then charged a $200 cancellation fee. I’ve spent easily 20 hours dealing with this company. Don’t waste your time, money or frustration."
"On Dec. 7th,2022 I applied for China Business Visa with CIBT and the explain me that the process with take maximum 21 days and until January 7th with tons of emails back and forth i did not get anything out of it and i have to leave for a business trip on January 18th,2023 and i picked up my passport without visa from there office and they charge me $252 even they did not get visa for me. If there will be anything less than 1star review i will give them that. Such a ridiculer service."
"I was disappointed with my experience using CIBT to get my Chinese tourist visa. Multiple mistakes were made by the CIBT team which I myself had to catch, proving that nobody actually read over my application. For example, I provided an Illinois ID as my proof of residency and was still given a NY application; I was the one who caught this and said "shouldn't this be going through the Midwest consulate since that is where my proof of residency is?" Later, I provided info from a previously held visa, and that info was not inserted into my application--a mistake I once again had to catch. So I pointed this out and someone told me "we have already re-done your application, we can't re-do it a third time, you have to fill it out again." Isn't that what I am paying an agent to do? I was also not given updates on my application in a timely manner, so I felt like I was kept in the dark about the status. In the end I received my visa just 3 days before my flight, despite my starting the whole process with ample time, a month in advance. This was really stressful. I was also charged additional fees I did not consent to. I wish I had just done this process myself instead of using an agent. EDIT: The owner responded asking me to send my feedback to an email address for the Director of Service Delivery, Devon, but when I sent it in an email it bounced back as undeliverable..."
