Reviews of The Flame Diner
"The food is great! The service is also very good and fast. Love coming here for breakfast… I got the Pancakes with 2 Eggs scrambled."
"My friends and I have been frequenting this diner for the last few months. It has become our new go-to for a quick, consistent meal. We love getting diner staples and are excited to try more items as we continue to come. Pancakes are super awesome as well as wraps and grilled cheese. We haven’t strayed too far from typical diner food so can’t speak to that, but if you’re in the mood for pancakes, these ones are amazing. Service is great, water is speedily refilled. Ambiance is very NYC diner-esque with colorful booth seating and bright lights. Unsure why there are bad reviews here- maybe people are ordering things that diners don’t specialize in? Give some of the basics a go before getting too fancy!"
"I think I'm in a Seinfeld episode it's so authentic. Real American diner from the good 'ol days. Great service...anything I asked for was 'yes' and got it immediately. Had spaghetti and meatballs which were beautiful, tasty and homemade. The philly cheesesteak was average and not on a proper cheesesteak sub roll but I should have ordered better. Not touristy but it will be once people realise the authenticity here. OMG the lemon meringue pie!!! Homemade and delicious!"
"This place is awful. Wanting some food after a night out. I finally said. Hey, let's give a New York City diner experience a try. This was my first mistake. There's no such thing as real diners in Manhattan Anymore. they're all just extremely overpriced tourist traps. With terribly awful food. I'll keep it brief. I didn't even eat my food. I just straight up, looked at it and said nope took one bite and sent it right back. The bread was terribly baked and tasted extremely stale. And my order was supposed to be roast pork but I don't think I ate pork and the potatoes tasted like mushed app box potatoes. Not anything reflecting a real potato. I think my meal was $25 but I paid 0 cause I sent it back. My friend ordered a $17 Burger that was completely blackened on the outside and straight raw through the middle. He was unwilling to send his back as he didn't want to cause a disturbance. The service was fantastic, however, our server was so kind. And so understanding, so we tipped him very generously. But please save your time and money. And don't bother coming here. This place is absolutely disgusting."
