Richmond County Day Camp

"If I do review, it’s positive but not this one. Here is why. 1) For 7 weeks my son attended there was only one trip. (I do not consider eating at Applebees or Hibashi for extra money as a trip, sorry). 2) For 6 weeks of tuition for this camp you can get 8 weeks at other camps around with weekly trips. 3) Pool on premises is still broken. It’s been 10+ years since the hurricane. So kids were taken couple of times to a dirty one at New Jersey. 4) Larry calls it sense of humor, while others consider his style of talking to people as rude and inappropriate. 5) I was given an empty envelope and innocent smile after I asked for receipt for my cash payment. Ha-ha. 6) And my cherry on a top, my son broke his arm playing outside on the wet fake grass. Could have happened to anyone anywhere. But Larry handled this very unprofessional telling me if it was his child he would not take him to the doctor because as he thought it was not broken. Ha-ha, my son had a cast for 5 weeks for broken arm. So, people, that was my personal experience last summer. My kids were at the three different camps so far and I can compare. This will be your decision if you chose this camp. None of my friends are coming back."

"Awesome camp with really great and caring team. My kids have been going here for 5 years. They study hard when school is in session and they play hard when summer rolls around. RCDC camp has so many fun activities that keep them all entertained. All the staff and counselors have been fantastic. And they have door to door bus service, which is so great for me as a working mom."

"Half way into the summer and I am extremely happy with this camp. This is my daughters first year of going to camp and I could not have imagined a better experience for both of us. She comes home every day excited to talk about what new activities they did during the day, her new friends And amazing counselors. Even with all of the new guidelines and additional safety measures they had to make due to COVID , the camp still runs like a well oiled machine- I know she is safe there and appreciate how the staff goes above and beyond to make sure each camper is having a great experience. She’ll definitely be back next year!"
