"Monmouth Music is a great, great store, John, Ryan, and Nick are great people--there's some other folks that work there but unsure of names. From a beginner's guitar to midpriced to something high end, you can find what you need, same with amps. They even keep a moderate sized stock of lefties, which is what I need--as compared to other stores, who have nothing. Certainly as compared to that Famous Guitar Wal Mart where the salesdroids look at me like I'm a cockroach when I ask for a lefty! (Good enough for Jimi Hendrix and Tony Iommi, good enough for me!) Bob is a killer repair guy who rewired and did a setup job on a couple of Les Paul pickups, correcting the total *hash* of a job me and a friend tried to do ourselves--his work was high quality professional and priced right. I just can't say enough...I currently take guitar lessons there when I am able and the guy I take them with, Chuck Welch--well, when I go to the open mics I can actually play lead guitar and sound decent, and that's like a revelation for me."

If you really want to find your ideal guitar, amp etc., you really have to get into a place like this and play it to find it. Monmouth Music has been great to me. Their music teachers are the best too. Currently taking my son there for lessons. Bringing in the next generation of customers!"
