"The Candle light concert the other evening was wonderful! The warmth of the crowd enjoying some great folk tunes, plus the beautiful candle light, made for a perfect and unique experience. Well done!"
"This place is a gem. I have been to many events here but my favorite is the Candlelight Christmas Tour. It’s so well done, informative & fun. All the actors stay in character in the houses & teach us so much about the times they represent. This was the second year I took the tour & a new house was added. It was excellent! I highly recommend visiting this special place."
"Great historical place to visit and learn some of the history of the first settlers here in New York, as well as the Native Americans who inhabited the area during the 1600s. Some original structures/buildings and artifacts from the time period are displayed and open to the public (need to reserve a tour)"
"Amusing, informative and entertaining event. Great not only for children but also for adults - to learn more on history, immerse into a historical setting and feel a magic of Christmas and holidays season. Would definitely come back next week for visiting four more houses in addition to those which we’ve had a pleasure to see last Sunday."
"This is a cute little town. It transported me back to some other time and place. You can escape daily life and just stroll around this little town. There are people who works there and are dressed up from the 1800s. There’s a museum and some houses are opened for experiences/life from back then. Very interesting to look at and learn about. There’s a cafe for food and an ice cream shop. Families taking walks was nice. There was two children’s parties at the ice cream shop while I was there."
