"Mike is the man! I usually go to Sam's Auto in Dumbo but was disappointed they wouldn't/couldn't service or diagnose my transmission problem. Right off the bat they said I'll probably need a new transmission but they don't do this sort of thing. Upon a referral I was able to swing by Mike's place 2 days before new years and he was able to pinpoint my transmission issue right away. It turned out to be minor rather than a $5000 repair and fixed the same day. I understand that doesn't aways happen as the parts may need to be ordered or the mechanic is too swamped to get to it immediately. You can understand the stress as soon as I heard that I may need to replace my transmission. Glad I checked out Mike and drove off with a repair that only set me back 250.00. Def check this place out... I didn't find it was expensive but very often with mechanics, it's not so much the price (although it should be reasonable) but getting it done right the first time."
