"The quality of product at this store is in serious decline. We got a turkey for Thanksgiving that was inedible, it was not frozen in the display case and had a strong metallic taste when cooked. It was thrown in the garbage and our guests ate side dishes for dinner. Upon informing Shop Rite of the situation, they placed a twenty dollar credit on our Price Plus card. Twenty dollars for a ruined holiday dinner with guests present. They are all heart. Recently we purchased eighteen eggs that are apparently very old premised on their taste and consistency. Additionally their pre-sliced beef bologna turned green two days after purchase. Their pepperoni stromboli, which we have been purchasing for years went up in price and down in quality. We typically spend six to eight hundred dollars a month in this store. We will be taking our business to Acme in the future. Good-by Shoprite!"
"Food is good quality. The produce is really good as is the dessert area. The deli apparently is rather small, so expect to wait in line. The staff is nice. Prices are apparently kind of high. They used to have customer bathrooms. But apparently they no longer have these. They apparently remodeled and the bathrooms are nowhere to be seen. The only grocery store of it's size in the area without bathrooms. Very inconvenient. A lot of self checkout terminals, very few actual cashiers. The self checkout lines will record your image the entire time. Also two staff to observe and help. Apparently reassigned cashiers with additional observation/security and routine resetting of the terminals. The self checkout may not have the correct sale price, so check every item price. Expect delays as the staff searches for the item and price. We used to know some of the cashiers on a first name basis. It was a fun experience. It's kind of lost that charm. As soon as you pay. The self checkout lines will repeatedly play audio that tells you to remove items. So if you have a moderate amount of products, maybe two bags, expect 3-5 audible alerts telling you the same thing. It is annoying. We used to spend about 45 minutes shopping there. Getting our weekly grocery items. But not anymore. Now we just get a few things that we need and do the weekly shopping elsewhere. There is apparently no longer a bank onsite or ATM, as there once was. Other than that it's okay."
"I would like to thank Janice. She's always very friendly and helpful. Today I exchanged pleasantries with her and I mentioned in passing that I got a wonky shopping cart. I was surprised when she got a new cart for me and helped me transfer the items in my cart to the new one. Thank you Janice! You're the best customer service representative ever!!"
"The store was big, well stocked & the employees were very helpful and nice. I was at a church function and went to the closest Shoprite today. I use the carts to ride in and the baskets on them were HUGE! If it wasn't so far from me it would be my go to Shoprite! BONUS: I was able to get a grilled hot dog after (they had someone on the grill in front of the store)"
"The workers are always friendly and helpful and the other shoppers are polite to each other. It really feels like a neighborhood grocery. Prices could be lower, but I think that's true of every grocery store these days. But the Bowl & Basket brands are always less expensive than the name brand and are usually just as good."
