"Moderate trails traversing an interesting and varied mixed (deciduous and coniferous) woodland. Regrettably substantial trail damage has occurred in places due to illegal ATV activity. If you try hard enough a trail map can be found on Middlesex county's disorganized web site"
"We hiked here this morning and got lost. The trail signs are very unclear and the map is not clear enough. It's easy to get lost here, and we finally got out, thank the Lord."
"This place is a hidden gem that I stumbled upon quite by accident one day. Just started exploring the many wide trails. So far it seems well maintained and well marked but will print out a map from their website so I don't get lost! Ticks? Yes there are ticks. You're in the woods! Cover up, wear repellent, make sure your dogs are sporting Seresto collars or other repellent and you'll be fine. Enjoy the quiet peacefulness of nature. So good for the soul."
"Beautiful mixed forest park. One of the best in the area for summer and fall stroll. Comfortable wide and well-marked hiking trails. You won't get lost there, but the white trail, for example, crosses itself four or five times, so having a trail map with you will be helpful if it's your first time there. You can download one from their official website."
"the park has a nice area with a lake view children playing section which is a beautiful area. But, if walking the Wooded trail which is on the other side of the road of Helmetta, there's a lot of bugs ticks, chiggers, mosquito. Bring a lot of bugs spray for yourself and you pets, if walking on that side of the trails."
