Dave & Buster's Staten Island

"My brother and I came here to have a few drinks on Christmas Eve after shopping in the mall for last-minute gifts. The place was basically empty. The bartender was at the end of the bar talking with a couple of other employees. As we approached the bar, there was a gentleman behind the bar that was clearly not the bartender but maybe a manager of some sort. Rather than welcoming us, he looked at us, looked away, and then walked to another part of the establishment. When the bartender saw us, which was pretty much right away, she came over to take an order. I didn't catch her name, but she was welcoming and got our drinks for us immediately. As we were drinking those drinks, the first gentleman we saw was behind the bar again, and we asked him for menus. My brother then asked him about a particular menu item that he no longer saw on the menu but used to order whenever he came to Dave and Buster's. Not only did he look bothered by the question, but his response was unintelligible. It sounded like he said something either too quickly or not clearly enough and then walked away. We then waited for the bartender, who answered our questions, and even suggested what she believed to be a good replacement for the item no longer on the menu. If it weren't for her, the experience would have been all bad. I do believe the gentleman was a manager of some type because if I'm not mistaken, it was his same voice that I heard on the overhead speakers informing customers that they were going to close shortly. I will go back, because everyone has a bad day, and the food and drinks were good. Also, the bartender knew what she was talking about and provided good service. The thing is...I was in theme restaurant management for several years and managed the front of house. If you were having such a bad day that you couldn't smile and greet your customers like you were actually glad they chose your establishment, then you should stay home. Thank you to the bartender for serving good drinks and to the kitchen staff for preparing good food. Maybe next time I can adjust to 4 or 5 stars."

"Went here for a friend's birthday party where there were about 20 of us. We ordered food, but it never came to us in the hour and a half of servers scrambling around. Miscommunication was abundant, orders mixed up, and we ultimately never got our food. And yet they still attempted to charge us for it. I'm not sure what was happening 12/2/23, but it was complete disarray and unacceptable. I'm not bashing the employees, because they're doing simply as they're told. But management was completely off their game."

"A great place for some fun arcade games and a good time! Every Wednesday, they offer half-price games, which is an amazing deal. While their food is just okay, the food court outside is a great alternative. Highly recommend for some budget-friendly entertainment! P.S- Parking is super easy here too! Second floor of the free parking garage puts your on the same floor as D&B."

"Dave and Busters is a great place to come with friends, family of your significant other. Food is mediocre but the drinks are top notch. wide selection of handcrafted cocktails and good liquor. Not to pricy at $13 a drink. I would not recommend the chicken wontons or the truffle fries but the nachos are a hit!"

"After waitibf 30 mins I had to go find a waitor to take our order. Food arrived in average time. Great atmosphere for adults and chidren. Its the perfect place fora family outing. The machines were all in working order and the place was clean. The bathrooms were clean as well."
