"I used this place to do my taxes for 2020. It was great! Much better than Optima Tax Relief and everything went good and is the ONLY reason for stars at all. Guess I should have done a review back then. Last year I decided to use this company again since they already had my info thinking it would make things easier. I should have gone with my 1st instinct when the woman Linda who helped me acted as tho I was bothering her every time we communicated. Even though I had my own small business and deductions, it helped, but because of untaxed unemployment I ended up owing a lot of money. It was super expensive to use this company and if I remember correctly over $600. After filing and practically prostituting myself to come up with the money I owed, I come to find out there were numerous things I could have claimed and deducted for my business. Seeing as how this was my 1st time as a small business owner, I had no idea what I was doing and why I hired someone to guide me. When I let her know how upset I was she offered me an amendment. Seeing as how I already filed, paid and owed taxes from the previous year, I knew it didn’t make much of a difference because the IRS wasn’t going to return any money to me, it seemed more trouble than it was worth and I declined. I was tempted to write this review at that time, but decided against it and just vowed to never use them ever again. Well here I am this year after I just filed my taxes using another company. Last year Linda said I needed to increase my federal taxes withheld and told me the amount per month. I listened to her thinking she was the “professional“. Fast forward and she had me grossly overpay. Now my taxes can’t even be e-filed and have to be mailed in because of the “red flag” overpaying causes. I still owe back taxes from years ago and am in a non-payment status. So Linda helped my family struggle with less money throughout the year and do without during high gas prices and skyrocketing inflation while the IRS got THOUSANDS from my family I wasn’t even required to pay back yet. THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!! Pick a different company or at least a different accountant. AND if you get a bad vibe go with your gut and run!"
