"Very nice park created on the bank of Third River. The third river, also known as the Yantacaw River, is a third tributary to Passaic River. Park is never crowded, and you will have a very peaceful experience, either walking, jogging, or biking in this park. In the middle of the park, there is a United Nations garden dedicated to the creation of the United Nations after World War II. The center monument contains a wonderful mosaic that represents the countries that comprise the United Nations. On the bank of River, you have benches for you to sit and relax, read books, or just enjoy the flow of water. Entire park is very well maintained. There is a man-made waterfall that poses immense photo opportunities for graduation pictures , weddings, or any auspicious occasion. Kudos to Nutleyites who thought of creating this park that many generations would enjoy. In the park, many bridges are there for you to cross river from one side to another. Restrooms are available close to the softball field."
"Always a serene and simply beautiful place to visit. Stop by the Kingsland Manor while you're there!"
"Kingsland Park in Nutley is perhaps one of the most scenic parks in all of Essex County, New Jersey. It has a lot of everything for everyone of all ages. At its northern terminus at Kingsland Street, there is a small part of the Third River with a mini waterfall that becomes part of Kingsland Lake, where most times you can spot people fishing or relaxing on one of the many benches that line the park. Spanning the entire length of the park, from Kingsland to Rutgers Place, a distance a at least a half mile you can traverse a path that is used for walking, jogging and cycling. The path is extremely well shaded and well maintained. Toward the southern end of the park, you can find a gazebo with tables for relaxing and having a little nosh, a little exposition area called The United Nations Garden, with a very nice tile mosaic of the world, followed by the playground, which has a larger than usual jungle gym and swings set. Capping off offerings of this bucolic setting is a softball field with stands. Throughout the park you can always find people with their dogs, walking, running, and just enjoying the scenes. It's a great place to just go and get away from it all for a little while."
"Rode my friends bike around a portion of this pretty park. The water is calming to view while walking or riding bikes. The park could use some flowers or garden areas but otherwise, loved it. I liked having the crossing guards holding traffic over the streets you crossed over."
