"A very nice local store to walk in for a quick shop, only if you want to be ripped off in a classy manner. A Whole Foods branch will open soon, just a block away, maybe be a little less greedy? "Local" should not be synonymous to nonsensical spending!!!"
"If we could give 100 stars we would! My friend and I wanted to order a meat and a cheese board but unfortunately they were fully booked. Thankfully we got saved by an angel named Richie. He is the epitome of excellent customer service. He took the time to educate us and guide us on the best cheeses and meats to buy for our event. Though we did not get out boards done by them, this turned out to be even better. Grace’s Marketplace is very fortunate to have a leading star like Richie be a part of their team."
"I have no idea what happened to Grace’s. Always overpriced, they used to have lovely quiches. The perfect size for dinner. I would occasionally treat myself to one. It was a guilty pleasure I looked forward to indulging. Today when I was in the mood for a treat, I was shocked at the pale crusted, production-line quality mound of blah that greeted me in the “prepared food” case. I unable to bring myself to order the tinned quiche. I turned instead to a slice of carrot cake from the bakery. OMG, sand in the Sahara has more moisture than that slice of cake did. The paltry amount to icing didn’t not raise the moisture of the cake sufficiently to make it palatable. Accordingly, my concession treat (7.99 for a slice) now resides in my trash can, waiting to be tossed down the chute after I figure out what I’m now going to have for dinner. The 2nd star is for the memory of how lovely, if overpriced, Grace’s used to be. Now it’s decidedly unlovely and very overpriced."
"If you’re willing to splurge a little bit on groceries, Grace’s is the best place to go. They have such great quality groceries and incredible pre-prepared meals. Their in-house prepared pasta is to die for. The café in Grace’s is also amazing. Definitely a must try. Every employee is very helpful, friendly and kind. It’s a great neighborhood spot."
"We just moved into the neighborhood and I was delighted to discover that there’s a Grace’s Marketplace on Second Avenue and 68th Street. Walking through the store was a joyous experience since everything from their produce to their pasta. I’m sure I will be shopping here for all of my groceries! They also have a little restaurant inside the store where you can have a hamburger, sandwiches and salads. I checked out their bakery and they have gorgeous looking breads as well as pretzel challahs, which are a delicious treat especially on Shabbat!"
